Dr. Darla Klokeid, MD

Saw this provider twice. First visit Dr Klokeid leaded about taking over treatment for a long term chronic condition; second visit she stated she had gone to a weekend medical conference with an unnamed UW speaker and spoke differently about my condition. She also made several additions to my chart including factually incorrect information about my medication history. She also agreed to order labs and provide additional written information about a recommendation she made on the second visit and the labs were not placed and the additional information never arrived. This provider is one to avoid.

I scheduled an annual wellness check with Dr. Karla. After the appointment, I received a bill for $253. My insurance company told me that Dr. Karla coded my appointment as in person office visit instead of an annual physical and that was why I was billed. I spoke with One Medical about this and asked them to resubmit the code for annual physical and they refused.They said sorry this wasn’t made clear to you. In the past decade, I have never came across a medical office and a doctor who changed an annual physical exam to an in person office visit without communicating it beforehand. During my appointment, I told Dr. Karla that my insurance has a high annual deductible. I asked her to use preventive codes for bloodwork. She told me she can do that. I called my insurance company and Lab corps and was told that she didn't use any preventive codes for my bloodwork. I don't find her trustworthy.

She is a terrible doctor. Do not see her. Her approach may be "great" for some, but in my experience she's condescending because she's not really good at her job. She's basically a counselor with the ability to refer you to a specialist. Wasted so much of my time - weeks and weeks - as I ultimately ran out of medication and had to scramble. I just cannot recommend enough that you do not see her.

I have seen Dr. Klokeid for over ten years. She always takes her time with you asking questions about all aspects of your health and allowing you to keep her updated on what’s important to you. She is now at One Medical in Seattle. She was worth driving or taking the train in to Seattle to continue care. She truly cares about her patients! She is also very knowledgeable and figured out an issue and treatment plan better than my dermatologist.

I saw Dr Klokeid after a bad experience with a different dr at Polyclinic who had given me terrible out dated conflicting meds. Dr Klokeid straightened me out and then helped me through a breast biopsy that was really scary. She's awesome. Knowledgeable & Supportive. I heard she is leaving Polyclinic and I want to follow her wherever she goes. I hope she sends out new contact info soon.

Excellent and thorough care. Great bedside manner and an approach-ability to her that's hard to find elsewhere.
