This was my GI doctor while I lived in Smyrna TN. I've been treated by many GI specialists for over 60 years. I move a lot across the United States, state to state. My case is a rare case to most GI doctors. I gave Doctor Shamoun a five-star rating because of his professionalism in his fill of medicine.......

I’ve been going to Dr. Shamoun for almost a year now and he is so kind. I had a very embarrassing problem and was afraid to tell anyone so I suffered at home without going out. Finally, he was recommended to me and he put me on 2 medications and it’s been like a miracle. He later did do the colonoscopy/Endoscopy only due to anemia but was fine. He is just great. If you’re having problems don’t be afraid to see this doctor or his Assistant Kellie. They’re awesome !

This doctor does not listen to you nor does he speak English well. In my appointment one of his nurses was also an interpreter. He could not express himself in non-technical language in English. The nurse had to tell me what he was saying. I do not trust him. I cancelled procedures and found a more caring doctor who I can understand.

I have been a patient of Dr Shamuns' for several years. He has the most pleasant personality. He explains things in depth and answers all questions you might have. I really think Dr Shamoun is the best physician I have ever had.

This is my first time with Dr Shamoun and his staff. I was seen pretty soon.. I have an unusual thing and Dr Shamoun was very calm and comforting and I actually told him I really appreciated his calmness and reassurance.. His staff was quick to get procedures scheduled and his reception personal were very helpful getting me connected with portal so I can see my results. Thank u for making a scared first timer feel not so afraid.

I visited Dr. Shamoun as a new patient and was very pleased with his deamor. He was very professional and thorough in asking questions about my problem. His knowledge of my previous tests and explaining what was found and some of the reasons for my issues was enlightening. To know that I will be in good hands with a physician that cares about my well-being makes me comfortable to be his patient. I recommend Dr. Shamoun to anyone who needs an excellent Gastroenterologist.

I feel very confident in Dr Shamoun's expertise and the care he has provided for my daughter. He is very professional and respectful. He listens and does not appear hurried when in our presence. He takes his time in answering questions and providing explanations of medical condition, tests, medications, etc. I appreciate the encouragement he consistently offers my daughter.

Dr. Shamoun was exceptional. He was thorough with his examination and answered all my questions. He explained the treatment and procedures in a way I could understand. Procedure was on time and his staff made me feel comfortable. I definitely recommend Dr. Shamoun and his staff.

The nursing staff is not empathetic to the needs of the patient and does not return calls within a timely manner. Does not seem to understand the need for urgency when a patient is suffering with pain & discomfort and needs further guidance;

Dr. Shamoun listens and cares. He is a gentleman and an excellent medical doctor. I am thankful for my referral to him by Dr. Donald Patterson when we moved to Tennessee. I am also grateful he has a satellite office in Murfreesboro. Tristar has excellent doctors, and I certainly would recommend Dr. Shamoun to anyone with GI problems.
