Experiences and symptoms dismissed
I visited Dr. Feldman for issues related to chronic pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, and suspected hormone intolerance. I went in with high hopes, but my experience was very disappointing. She seemed frustrated that I had concerns to talk through beyond just getting an annual visit done. She kept interrupting me when I tried to explain my symptoms. She only offered birth control as an option and when I explained past debilitating side effects when on various types of hormonal BC, she said 'that's just what it does' and 'it's been a few years, your body is probably different now.' At one point she said my pain couldn't be that bad because I was able to walk and said I was being too emotional (I got a little choked up because I felt so dismissed. I wasn't even actually crying). I just felt completely dismissed because I wasn't an easy case. I'm not normally someone who leaves reviews, but this appointment was truly an awful experience.

Great doctor!
Dr Feldman is one of my favorite doctors. While the practice is busy and appointments are booked back to back, so there is often a wait time, I never feel rushed and always feel Dr Feldman has my health and well being top of mind. She has an excellent bedside manner, and is an incredibly caring and thorough doctor. I always feel very looked after and taken care of when I see her. Couldn’t recommend her more!

I just made an appointment with a gynecologist for the first time in five years, not having done so for such a long time due to the trauma experienced during my encounter with Dr. Feldman. In 2019, I visited her to have an IUD inserted, my first experience with birth control. Not only did she fail to explain the procedure adequately, treating it as a trivial and painless matter, but she also assured me I would only feel a "small pinch" and it would be over. In reality, she presumably stabilized my cervix with the teeth of a tenaculum, resulting in what I can only describe as the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced (and I have broken multiple bones). Although this is a common step in the procedure, the fact that she didn't warn me of the possibility of significant pain, aside from a "pinch," is outrageous. In a state of shock, I remained on the bed for about another 20 minutes, until her nurse entered and asked, "What are you still doing here?" before telling me to leave. I then returned to college and experienced heavy bleeding for over a month, accompanied by consistently intense cramps that rendered me unable to stand at my job, forcing me to use a stool. Upon briefly going back to NYC, I sought examination at the office, where I was reassured that I was perfectly fine and that such suffering was "normal." After enduring 62 days of constant, agonizing pain and heavy bleeding, I visited my local Planned Parenthood, where I was informed that my IUD had been inserted incorrectly and promptly had it removed. Since then, I have been apprehensive about trusting another gynecologist. Additionally, her bedside manner is dreadful and unwelcoming.

She's super thorough, helpful and always makes herself available for her patients. Office staff can be difficult but she's worth it.
