Dr Doyle-and colleagues and staff saved my father
We met Dr Doyle at IU Health Hospital in Bloomington. A scheduled heart surgery had gone well, but something was wrong with Dad and it was not an easy find or fix. He was on dialysis and plasmapheresis daily while she and the team of Drs searched for the cause. She did a Bx of his kidney and found a-HUS. (Yeah we didn't know what it was either) Once she was able to Dx him with this, there was only one Tx approved and it was (that year) the most expensive medicine IN THE WORLD..... Not only did she get dad qualified for the treatment before we even left the hospital, it was FULLY COVERED, we didn't pay anything, for labs, for infusions. The care he got from her after he left the hospital was JUST AS AMAZING! He absolutely lived better, longer, and thrived under her care. It was heartbreaking when he went to Hospice and we knew we would no longer see her. Immense respect for her, her staff, and her colleagues-nationwide. Thanks Dr Doyle for keeping my dad with me longer <3
