wow...exceedingly thorough and approachable
Went to Dr. Toft to receive a second opinion. He has an excellent manner - extremely approachable, thoroughly listened to my concerns, asked relevant questions, examined me, and then provided his feedback and diagnosis. I didn't feel rushed at all. He also didn't minimize the research and learning I tried to do on my own about the health issue. He proactively offered to share his feedback with my primary doctor and then sent the most comprehensive letter I've ever seen from a doctor, outlining the visit and his recommendations. He even provided links to clinical studies that he thought may be helpful for my doc to see in guiding his recommendation. If only all doctors took his approach. Color me impressed! Since this was just a first visit/consultation, I haven't been treated by him for anything yet and so can't speak to the efficacy of his treatment, but this was a great start. Will update in the future if I ever have treatment.

Very positive experience working with Dr. Toft. He clearly has tremendous depth of expertise in his field, but was honest about where the science has answers and where it doesn't, which I found really refreshing and uncharacteristically modest for an MD/PhD. He explained everything clearly and patiently, I never felt rushed and always felt I had his full attention. He ran a lot of tests but explained why he was doing it and walked me through the results. He is kind, soft-spoken, surprisingly down to Earth, and nerdy in the (positive) way you want your doctor to be. And he ultimately resolved my issue which is I guess what matters in the end!

Love, love, love Dr. Toft. I was referred to him after my thyroidectomy due to cancer. On my first visit to see him, he explained what needed to be done and the time in which medications needed to be taken. He was very attentive and thorough. If I had any questions or information on how I was feeling or about the medications all I had to do is send him an e-mail and he responded within 12-48 hours. I was sad to see him leave the NMH Team. Great doctor!

Dr. Toft is AMAZING! I'm a type 1 Diabetic and also have hypothyroidism. I came to him with uncontrolled blood sugars and a thyroid that was way out of wak. He actually listened to me, never making me feel Guilty, yet motivated me to try hard to achieve lower a1c's. I'm not quiet sure how he does it, but he is calm, non judging and actually listens...just amazing! A doctor who listens!!! My insurance doesn't cover my visit to Dr. Toft, but I will pay and never go anywhere else again!

Likelihood of recommending Dr. Toft to family and friends * EXCELLENT I was fortunate in having Dr. Toft performed a needle biopsy on a thyroid nodule for the purpose of having a second opinion on whether the nodule was benign or malignant. I found him to be very comforting and quite informative with his expertise and experience. I had the procedure on September 19, 2017. I had a negative experience with my first biopsy on this nodule and consequently was quite apprehensive. Dr. Toft displa

Dr. Toft is patient, knowledgeable and understanding of my concerns regarding my condition. He listened to my questions, and answered from his experience and data that exists. I appreciate his approach and his expertise. I would trust him to advise me on the right decision for my health. He was knowledgeable about the trends (online) vs. facts and helped me to navigate how I should be thinking about my condition and my treatment. Excellent Doctor.

Extremely rude person scheduling appointments. There is no transparency about available times, and they make you provide all information before even telling you if there is availability.
