Disrespect
He makes me wait hours and hours, then spends 5-10 minutes with me. Terrible communicator. He never apologizes for his tardiness. He answered my specific question about surgical choices with cataracts by saying don’t worry about it. I wanted info, he basically sent me to google.

Plan on waiting hours once you get in the office. The Crown Point office has not been updated in about 15yrs. Very depressing. Feel sorry for the staff that has to work in that environment. My appt in Nov 2021 with Dr. Taglia was nothing short of a disaster. I had waited 2 hrs after arriving to see him. Walks in the room. No apology for the wait. Start to tell him my symptoms and he proceeds to condescendly tell me that's an old problem. I was supposed to get a OCT test because I am on Plaquenil which can affect the eyes. Found out after Northwestern in Chicago got the results that he didn't even test for that.. Don't know how the staff can work at that speed and in that culture everyday. Something needs to change. They are overbooking and I told him that. He tried telling it was because of the holidays. It's like that everytime I've been there. He wasn't happy with my comments and asked me to leave. The medical board needs to look into this practice.

The wait time is absolutely unacceptable!!! Every appointment is the same... hours and hours of waiting for an appointment with the doctor that might last 10 minutes. I can only guess this horrible service is a product of greed. Far too many patients for the doctor equals lots of money for them, and angering/frustrating wait times for the patient. I think I'm going to a new clinic.

I have Giant Cell Arteritis or Temporal Arteritis and am blind in my left eye. I'm new to the area and was VERY turned off mainly by Dr. Taglia. I found him pompous, arrogant and rude. I'm concerned about the vision I have left in my right eye and was sent to him for an evaluation of my eye by my rheumatologist (who will also find out exactly what a negative experience the visit was). I've been to Mass Eye and Ear and he was dismissive of their records and 'didn't see anything wrong with my right eye' even though vision is blurry. He told me GCA did not affect the visual field 'unless I'd had a stroke or something." If he had read the records I gave him...I have had a stroke, TIA and two closed head injuries. Then he said...'well, that could do it', I felt like saying "No ___", but I'm an 80 year old lady! The practice is a mill and out of 3.5 hours I spent ..maybe 7 minutes with him..and he was in a hurry.

Not this doctor..... – Dec 04, 2020

Office itself seemed very dated and in need of an update. I honestly expected more for reputation of doctors. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Dr. Taglia was very matter-of-fact, a bit arrogant and abruptly answered my questions as if it was an inconvenience and I was wasting his valuable time. I won't return.

Dr Taglia is an outstanding physician. Needless to say vision is a very precious thing, and an excellent ophthalmologist. Exactly the kind of detail oriented person you want to trust your eyes to. He explains things clearly, and at the same time is very efficient. We are lucky to have him as our ophthalmologist, and absolutely recommend him.

Dr. Taglia seems nice but you don't see much of him to judge for sure. His office is horrible. By the time you get there to the time you leave is at least 4-5 hrs- your whole day wasted mainly being angry and frustrated. Staffs are super rude
