I went to Dr Daniel Y Suh at the Savannah Spine Institute in August 2024 to get a second opinion regarding multiple cervical spine compressions, which required disc removal, insertion of spacers and fusion of 3 vertebrae. He was highly recommended by 2 doctors I trusted in my hometown of Hilton Head Island, SC. I was very afraid to have the surgery but was told I would be paralyzed without it. From the first time I met Dr Suh I was impressed with his confidence, knowledge and caring attitude. He answered all my questions and even called me the night before surgery to check on me. It is now 2 weeks after surgery and everything has gone extremely well. I highly recommend Dr Daniel Y Suh.

Dr. Suh was awesome. He actually looked me in the eye when explaining my test. He also didn't talk to me like I was an idiot. Very nice and informative. He didn't try to push surgery immediately. He wants to explore other, less invasive things first. Could not have had a better Dr!!!

Dr. Suh is one the most knowledgeable and compassionate surgeons I have ever met. He listens and tries to explain medical situations in English. He is always available to the family. Our case was very complicated and he never gave up on our family member when other surgeons did. He was with my family throughout my family member being in intensive care for over a month and even after they got out of intensive care. I would recommend him to anyone who needs his specialty.

I came in as a referral and he listen to my concerns and is exploring new options the other doctors I have went to see for the fast year and a half for my back problems and I feel that I will finally get a more permanent solution.

Long wait time unfortunately…fairly maybe due to appointment backlog from Hurricane Helene

Dr Suh spent a lot of time with me explaining what he did and what I could expect over the next 5 days. He also set up a follow up in his office within a week to go over the next steps in my recovery. Dr Suh answered all my questions and never made me feel he was too busy for me. Recommend him highly !

I had been hoping to see Dr. Suh about horrible pain in my right side and down my leg. Nanci called me this morning that there was an opening at 12 noon. I was at work and needed to get my co worker to come cover for me. When I did see Dr. Suh he was Cari g, concerned and ready to help me manage the pain. He had me go for an x ray right there I. One of the surrounding buildings. Not the in two weeks like with other Dr.’s.

Dr Suh and Thomas have always made a great team ! This would be my 2nd surgery , this time I had a problem with getting my voice back after a week and I called the office and Dr Suh himself got on the phone talked to me asked all the questions sent medicine in for swelling and had me in the next day. Where Samantha scheduled me in Beaufort to get an x ray that morning and in the Bluffton office that afternoon. After what was suspected of swelling was confirmed by Thomas , I go back for another check up in Nov. I truly couldn’t ask for a better team !
