Daniel Su does not follow up, no call backs, it was an awful experience dealing with Him and His Staff.

I recently had the prostatectomy procedure done by Dr Su. It’s incredible as I wake up, I don’t have any feeling of the procedure until I started to move and incisions on abdomen were found. I don’t take any pain killer and recovery well day by day as informed by Dr Su’s team. I am so grateful to the team for all that they have done.

We visited Dr. Daniel Su, urologist in Simi Valley Adventist Health Urology office, where he is one of the staff/visiting urologists. My son had a “testicular mass” which was confirmed by 2 consecutive scrotum ultrasound exams. Dr. Su diagnosed “testicular cancer” and recommended urgent testicle removal surgery. Dr. Su became very angry when I doubted his diagnosis. I suspected the “mass” was a trauma result, my son had several weeks ago. Dr. Su refused additional testing, even “cancer markers” blood test. He said it was the typical case how testicular cancer is usually discovered. Now I understand that he was simply trying to cover himself in order not to be accused of missing “cancer”. SUMMARY: we visited another urologist, who ordered the blood test and another ultrasound. The third exam showed significant “mass” size decrease and its shape change suggesting resolving “testicular hematoma” (after trauma). If I listened to Dr. Su, my son would not have one testicle now.

I recently had a procedure done by Dr. Su, and I had an unfortunate incident immediately following the procedure. The section of the procedure table collapsed while I was still on it. I am not litigious, but I was upset, first, that no one even called me in the following days to inquire about how I was doing. After my follow-up visit, Dr. Su's note gave a false representation of what happened and an inaccurate summary of my physical status as a result of the fall. It should be clear that this complaint was not related to Dr. Su's procedure but how he addressed what happened after the procedure in our follow-up visit.

Dr Su is experimenting on patients that are very sick and vulnerable. I am sure none are aware because they are so sick. You are Not Safe here!!

Dr. Su was so confident and reassuring before my procedure. He performed my Partial Nephrectomy in February 2019 and it was almost painless. His follow up care has been excellent and he always listens and explains his reply so it is easily understood.

Very bad , he doesn’t know what is he doing . I don’t recommend .

Dr. Su performed my Partial Nephrectomy, one week ago. Afterwards, my maximum pain level was 3 out of 10. By the 2nd morning after surgery, I was only taking an Aleve morning and night. All of this went much much easier than I anticipated. I highly recommend him as a Surgeon, as do all the medical professionals I talked to before the operation. Amazing job by him. Superstar.

Dr. Su is kind and thorough in his explanations. I was an odd case and he was gentle yet aggressive in his interrogation of trying to figure out how I injured my bladder the way I did. I truly appreciated it, it showed me he really cared and worried for my safety. My surgery was thorough and successful and I am healing well. The intense pain I was in prior is now a distant memory.

Dr. Su was so confident and reassuring before my procedure. He assured me that if the procedure was not possible, due to my prior adhesions, that he would not proceed. The procedure was a success. I have seen three physicians at OC Urology and each one has been knowledge and proficient in their sub-specialties. I work in the medical field and I understand that sometimes a poor outcome is blamed on the physician when the patient’s unique situation may be the cause. I have the utmost confidence in OC Urology and highly recommend them.

Dr. Su is very professional, knowledgeable and carring. He was very thorough in his treatment and diagnosis. His after surgery care was excellent. I strongly recommend him.

Avoid!!! I ended up in the emergency room once and emergency surgery twice after treatment at OC Urology and with this doctor. It was a daymare (bad dream). Agreeing with other reviewers, surgery was aggressively pushed right away. Eventually, I did have a minor surgery, not because I needed it in the first place, but according to doctor who did it, because I had been scarred up at OC Urology. Fortunately, I found excellent doctors in L.A., and boy is it worth the driving.

Dr. Su is a very aggressive urologist. Very quick on recommending surgery. When I got a second opinion he did not like that, especially when it was different from his. He called me for appointment just to tell me that he is dropping me as a patient. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Not a doctor I'd recommend. Friendly enough but doesn't go over all options available. Seems to be very quick to recommend surgery. Not great on follow up.
