Dr. Daniel Skoglund, MD

I have adult ADHD and anxiety and Dr. Skoglund has been very supportive and helpful in helping me deal with these issues. He listens to me very carefully, and he knows what works. I had been on Valium and my original psychiatrist told me that I would need to be on it for the rest of my life. Several other psychiatrist have tried unsuccessfully to put me on SSRIs they all made me break out in hives. The final one landed me in the ER! He has let me stay on my Benzodiazepines and they have been very good and I haven’t had to increase my dosage. The staff is very friendly, works with you on scheduling appointments and reminds me that my appointment is coming up the day before. I’ve been seeing him for about 10yrs now and he is an incredible psychiatrist. I’m driving 50 miles one way as I couldn’t find a psychiatrist that didn’t want to put me on SSRIs. Nice office, great parking and wonderful staff! I don’t know why anyone would leave him a 1 star rating! Very gay friendly as well.

Very easy to talk to, actually listens to what you have to say, very nice and pleasant. He knows his medications and medication combinations. Great with bipolar, depression, sleep issues and very educated about how female hormones can affect your treatment. Good at contacting you back in a timely manner of you have questions and concerns that don't necessarily warrant a visit. The staff is very nice. Clean office. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great psychiatrist.

I have called 18 times (seriously, no exaggeration.) and left 4 or 5 messages over the past week to try to make an appointment. No one has ever answered the phone or called me back. The recording says that they check their messages frequently so they have either gone out of business, or their definition of frequent is quite different that everyone else's. I can't say anything about Dr. Skoglund, because I never got the chance to make an appointment, but his office staff sure sucks.
