Curse him every day
If my vision in my left eye wasn't bad enough I just found out today that I have further complications from a botched cataract surgery five years ago. Now at my age I have to deal with more vision problems because this guy couldn't do the surgery properly I wouldn't let him change a tire

Do not recommend
I had a terrible experience with this office. Made an appointment to see Dr Sambursky about cataract surgery, surgery was cancelled THREE times! Finally had first eye done, surgery went well. Had a follow up appointment for 8AM the following day; after 30 minutes in the exam room I inquired as to where the doctor was and was told that he was late. No apology for the inconvenience , just attitude from the staff. Very poorly run office and zero respect for the patients time or concerns.

Use of Procedure producing black spot in eye.
In September of 2021 I had cataract surgery by Dr. Sambursky at his facility on Columbia Drive. At this facility I was told that instead of using eye drops for a month after the surgery, I would be given a shot in my eye which would produce a black spot which would be gone in few months. As of now, 11 months later, the black spot, the size of a nickel, is still floating in my eye. Upon going to his office in August about this problem, I was told that the black spot may never leave my eye. While I was in the waiting room in August, I talked to a friend who also had an appointment, who had the same procedure in November and he had the same black spot. I was told that the shot that was given to me could not have been done in the hospital because it was not approved by them. Why then did Sambursky use the procedure and how many other patients now have this black spot in their eye

I am very unhappy with my experience trying to deal with the staff at Dr. Sambursky’s practice. The practice is out of network for my insurance coverage and all attempts to get the practice to contact my insurance carrier (3x), have not been successful. And, despite the surgical coordinator’s claims, my carrier has no digital record of any contact. Very frustrating experience.

Dr. Samsbursky did my LASIK surgery. In 2012, I did have to get a retreat in one eye has expected in 2016. When I first had it done he came in personally afterwards to explain to me that the one eye, my "lazy eye" which I've had for years before was shaped like an accordion. He mentioned then I may have to have that eye redone. We took the lifetime warranty which no longer exits. I also had gotten an insurance discount which also no longer exists. All I have to do is go for yearly exams and my w

Generally quick wait for appointments and friendly staff. Procedure is slightly stressful (as you might imagine with any eye surgery) but thankfully it is relatively quick and staff is supportive throughout. Recovery times can vary but discomfort in eyes was gone within a day.

Get a second opinion! I went for an eye condition that had nothing to do with cataracts or vision correction. I was not properly treated for my eye condition and pressured into cataract and lasik surgery that was completely unnecessary and only made my condition and vision worse. He and staff are only interested in filling up OR vacancies. You will hear the same thing from many people over many hours in the waiting room, that he refuses to see any patient directly again.

Modern medical science is nutso. I can see after twenty years of lenses! Dr. Sambursky is very friendly and the staff is warm and laughed at my terrible jokes after taking the pre-surgery Valium. Just a word of warning - Laser Eye surgery does NOT give you the ability to shoot lasers from your eyes.
