Compassionate doctor, BUT........
Dr Rousch is a friendly, attentive doctor, however he doesn't believe in the existence of adult ADHD, and just loooves to diagnose you with bipolar instead. So, just be aware. (the 2 conditions have many overlaps, but are by NO means the same)

Compassionate, actually listens.
I have seen a couple different psychiatrists in the past 15 years before my PCP took over my care. She left the practice so I set out to find a new doctor. I did a consultation with one over telehealth and he was so cold, and didn't ask much about my life or why I was feeling the way I was feeling. I saw Dr. Rousch and for my first patient appointment he spent an hour with me getting to know me and the struggles I have had in my life. He is so intelligent and explained several things to me about the brain and how mental health works. I am so grateful to have found him!

Referred to evaluate PTSD and childhood trauma. After some standard fill in the blank generic forms and less than 30 minutes, I was diagnosed as bipolar, was told my PREVIOUS diagnosis of ADHD was incorrect and prescribed 3 different meds. He is a pill mill doc and nothing more.

Reading some of the negative reviews from previous posts, I don't get it. It is not that I doubt them, it's just that my experiences with Mid Cities Psychiatric Center have been exceptional. Naturally, all I can do is speak to my own experiences, and hold fast that my encounters will continue on par. Thus, here is how I perceive Mid Cities Psychiatric Center, Dr. Rousch, and staff: In early February 2017, I contacted Mid-Cities Psychiatric Center for an appointment. Their response time

I knew Dr. Daniel was the doctor for me when I was welcomed into a charming, quaint consultation room filled with a joyful, yet serene energy and adorned with AWESOME Star Wars and Star Trek memoribilia. Tributes of his mother, artwork that she lovingly painted, grace his walls. His beloved son is his receptionist and an "adopted" daughter is his office manager. He loves God and is Jewish. I mean, who wouldn't need a "good Jewish psychiatrist?!!!" I am Christian and completely felt at home.
