ER visit
Daughter has a history of bone cancer and amputation. She was taken to the ER for a panic attack where she was passing out every 15 seconds for over 30 minutes. He was rude and dismissive. One of the poorest bedside manners we have experienced. Sad that doctors seem irritated to do their job, taking care of humans in their scariest moments.

Missed critical diagnosis
1st thing Dr said was the ER was full and how understaffed they were & no beds available at all. My dad was having stroke symptoms & severe headache. Dr did one test and said inconclusive but maybe TIA? They discharged him. The next day my dad was still having a severe headache & other symptoms so we went back to the ER & they did a CAT scan this time & it showed he actually did have a stroke. Because of the delay in diagnosis he was not eligible for stroke therapy because it has to be administered within a certain time after a stroke. The ER doctor again said the hospital was full & no beds available so they discharged dad home. Because he was discharged we couldn’t schedule therapies right away because they were booked out for months. If he had been admitted to the hospital physical therapy, speech therapy & occupational therapy would have evaluated him, had therapy sessions with him & got him on their schedule for after his discharge. Also neuro never personally saw him. Nightmare.

I saw Dr. Meigs in the ER back in January. I was experiencing vertigo much worse than I had ever experienced. Although nothing showed up on the MRI, I felt listened to and respected. I think he really tried to discover the root of my problem. If he set up a practice of his own, I would seek him out after my current doctor retires.
