Dr. Daniel Deschler, MD

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Deschler. He's calm, highly competent and caring. If you're in need of his services, you won't do any better than him. I was fortunate to have him as my surgeon. His entire staff is likewise top notch.

Dr. Deschler is outstanding in the level of care he offers. This was most evident at my original diagnostic, treatment planning, surgery and immediate follow-up. However, over my many follow-ups he has remained consistently caring, engaged, responsive and reassuring. I received several referrals from him elsewhere at MEEI, all of which were excellent. Overall I offer my simplest and most meaningful accolade: Dr. Deschler is a real doctor.

Professional, Proficient and Vested in patient health care

Appointment was timely and Dr Deschler is very knowledgeable, professional. Explained options and when decisions were made, necessary paper work was available. Very positive encounter. Feel very confident with him doing my upcoming surgery.

Excellent. Every appointment he was completely helpful explained the surgery in laymen's terms so that I could understand. Very thorough with tests and pictures before making any determination. Both my sister and niece were very impressed with his explanations; they are both in the medical field so were helpful. My procedure was in August of 2021 though.

Dr. Deschler was so nice to talk to, very reassuring and thorough. He made me feel so at ease.

Went to him for an opinion about a partial laryngectomy for cancer of the supraglottis. The doctor was condescending and had no sensitivity to my feelings. I left his office feeling let down , angry and hopeless (and crying). He didn’t care. I felt like I wanted to end it all right there.

Dr. Deschler is an amazing doctor...he listens well... takes the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment with care and concern while making certain you understand the issue at hand. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of state-of-the-art medical attention. His office staff/techs reflect his professional and caring approach interacting with patients.Great team!

If I could leave a zero star I would. MRI 3 weeks Ago. 4 phone calls to them over the course of 3 weeks to get the results. Every time the receptionist acts surprised I hadn’t been contacted yet. Every time I was told I would be called back that day. This is simply unacceptable as we are not talking about a paper cut here. Absolutely would never recommend. I clearly wouldn’t have him perform surgery if needed since a simple call back is this difficult. At this point there is nothing they can say to correct this pure and utter lack of care. Still do not know the results!

Dr. Deschler performed surgery to remove a tumor at my parotid gland two years ago. The healing progress of my face has been fantastic. I could not have been more pleased with the surgery, the surgical staff (including the anesthesiologist) and the ongoing care by Dr. Deschler and his staff. I truly feel well cared for and respected. It is a pleasure to visit - not something I normally feel when it comes to medical visits - but that is the case at MEE and specifically during my appointments. My gratitude for such caring professionals is endless.

The doctor is an angel sent from above. I did not know how serious my trauma was. He told me you are in good hands and I believed him. I was sure I was going to be ok because he made me feel that way. Ty doctor you are amazing.

Dr. Deschler takes his time to explain everything to you. He is answers all your questions and he does not make you feel like you are bothering him. Dr. Deschler returns your phone calls in a timely manner. He is very knowledgeable about head and neck cancer. I would recommend Dr. Deschler to anybody!! He is a great doctor.

Top head & neck surgeon, highly recommended by several MEEI and MGH physicians. Personable, friendly, no nonsense approach inspires confidence. Have been a loyal and grateful patient for 10 years. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of incredibly long waiting room time - sometimes an hour beyond the scheduled appointment. Otherwise, highly recommended.

The physician is a great professional in all areas of his work. He is an outstanding surgeon. I really appreciate the great work he has done on me. I find the results to be well beyond anything I expected !!!
