Dr. Daniel Cohen, MD

I had a deeply troubling experience with Dr. Daniel Cohen of Hudson Valley Radiology. I was referred to him for a fetal MRI, and he told me he strongly believed the referring doctor's findings that my son did not have an anus and would require surgery. When I asked if there was a chance he could be wrong, he confidently stated that he very rarely is, and that he strongly believed he was right. Even after I left the referring doctor's care, Dr. Cohen continued to follow up with me periodically until my son was born. It was only then that I was able to tell him he was extremely wrong—my son has an anus and is perfectly healthy.Dr. Cohen's overconfidence and persistence added unnecessary stress and anxiety to an already difficult situation. I cannot recommend him to anyone seeking accurate and compassionate medical care.

Stay far away!

I came to this facility to receive a hip ultra sound for my newborn baby girl (she was breeched). As a NEW mom, anyone would understand my anxiety. Dr. Daniel Cohen greeted us well, and that is the only nice thing I can bring myself to write about him at this moment. The appointment required me to undo one side of her diaper so that he could apply the gel and examine her hips so he can take images of them. I was uncomfortable, but I pressed through..Midway my discomfort showed, and instead of him taking notice that I'm a first-time Mom who may in his 'eyes' be in 'the way.' He told me, 'Move your hands from your baby!' Then he preceded to move my hands out of the way!! At that moment, I paused everything and took a deep breath because I was quite anxious and in shock.
