Awesome Experience
Dr. Bracey provided excellent treatment and care. From the start, he took the time to explain things. Due to an underlying issue and other factors, there were concerns on how the surgery would go. He remained confident and took preemptive measures. I had to wait a few months until the procedure but that was understandable due to the current state of the medical field. The night before my procedure Dr. Bracey personally gave me a phone call to discuss any concerns. This really impressed me. So far everything is going well post op and Dr. Bracey has done an awesome job at following up.

Waited 5 months for a hip and he cancelled 1 weeki
I was referred by my orthopedist to Dr. Bracey, I met with him twice prior to surgery date, five months between those two meetings I went for my preoperative screening testing bloodwork more x-rays! I got a bill from UNC for $1000 for preoperative testing, and then he cancels my surgery, 1 week prior, due to his medical emergency, but they would be happy to schedule me in six months if he happens to come back! I had to scramble to find another surgeon,. the person canceling my surgery didn’t know who to refer me to, not even another doctor in the same UNC practice, this is a huge system, I even asked for a Raleigh UNC referral and she said they don’t do that. He is an absolute hack! Insensitive to anyone’s feelings. I found another surgeon who had my hip replaced in 10 days! My advice run for your life, anyone who will take someone in that much pain and treat them so insensitive. Let him walk On a busted hip for five months only to Have it Canceled a week before, With no referral

I had a great experience with Dr Bracey and his PA Josh. They were very educational, thorough and compassionate. I was approved for hip replacement surgery on my first visit. As I have been waiting for 5 years for this, I was extremely relieved that someone approved me! I highly recommend this surgeon and clinic.

Xrays revealed advanced osteoarthritis in both hips. I needed surgery as soon as possible. Dr. Bracey specializes in anterior hip replacement and I elected to have that surgery. I knew immediately that he was the right doctor for me. First of all, he was kind and not hurried. He explained what could be done and other options I might have. I elected to have the left hip replacement as soon as possible. Not only did he phone me the day BEFORE my surgery to see how I was doing but shortly after I returned home as well. Four months later I had the second hip replaced. He always had time for me. My recoveries have been amazing and I am no longer suffering the pain that I had for five years. Dr. Bracey has a calm, quiet and assured attitude that encourages confidence for the patient. I would recommend him to anyone suffering as I did. My first surgery was September 28, 2020 and the second on February 1, 2021.

Do not trust this doctor. He can’t get a medical history straight with the chart in his hands. No a good thing to say about this doctor ability character or his integrity.
