Lacks Care, Compassion and Communiation
While Educated for Neurosurgery Dr. Bidros and his team lacks Communication, Care and Compassion. I did not realize the importance of these 3 items until after he performed a surgery on my spine. 3 days later I woke with excruciating pain. I called and Spoke to Renee Smith. She said she would have their Nurse Practitioner call me. After an hour, my pain was much worse. I called Renee Smith and told her I needed to go to an ER, but please have the NP call. In the ER my pain was so bad I was reduced to being only scream like a wounded animal. The ER docs and Nurses tried many times to call Dr. Bidros and his office, to find out what kind of surgery I had performed. Dr. Bidros would not speak to them and Renee told them he did not turn in his notes and could not give them any info, even though she set up the surgery. Their attitude seems cruel I was 12 hours extreme pain, my spine/ blood stream infected, days in Hospital and 6 weeks of infusion. They are cruel. all of this b4 a follow up

I was referred by my trustworthy and skilled orthopedic who performed my double neck disc replacement and fusion to Dr Dani Bidros after an abnormal brain scan following a MVA. I was a picky patient but scared. Dr Bideos explained all my concerns , everything that was technically going on in my brain . Stood by my side as I quickly declined rapidly from bleeding out and not absorbing cerebral fluid . He performed my left brain craniotomy and installed five drains on right skull . Not once did I ever question him or feel scared or nervous . He was thorough , compassionate, very professional and knowledgeable . I believe that had something to do with me having such a wonderful recovery . He saved my life , the only time I was disappointed was when I was released and no longer needed a brain surgeon . Every new doc I see I compare to him and poor them because they don’t come close to a Dr Bidros . The high professionalism and level of care I got was healing ! Highly recommend.

I was referred to Dr. Bidros by a medical organization specializing in sacroiliac joint separation and lower back pain. He was highly recommended by them. I was VERY disappointed in my consultation. He spent the first 5 minutes grilling me about how I was referred to him, why I thought I had the condition, and asked if another doctor was consulted who also thought I had it. He seemed to have no compassion about my pain. He did a very quick exam, ordered an MRI and gave me the name of an Orthopedic and NOT a Neurosurgeon. He was implying I didn’t belong there. I will NEVER see Dr. Bidros again. I don’t like his God complex demeanor. His office billed over $1K for the short amount of time I was in his exam room. The MRI revealed I have the condition and I found another doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Dani Bidros for my Tarlov Cysts. I was disappointed in my office visit with him. He said that he doesn’t do anything with Tarlov cysts. What I especially didn’t like is that he said that he doesn’t know why he gets one Tarlov cyst referral each week. So why don’t you or your staff pick up the phone and let the referring doctors know this. Does he not understand that it is a waste of our time and money. Besides, it is unethical. What I didn’t like also is that he hadn’t even looked at my MRI images prior to seeing me. He didn’t even know how big my Tarlov cysts were. I would have appreciated it if he would have at least shown me where my Tarlov cysts are located on the MRI. After my visit with him, I had to contact a radiologist friend of my parents to show me where my cysts are located on my MRI. I certainly wouldn’t want him to perform any surgery on me with that kind of work ethic. I am writing this so no other patient with Tarlov cysts has to go through this.

He should lose his license to practice. Lied to my 80-year-old mother about the procedure he was going to do on her. Told her it was a simple bone spur removal, then performed a double discectomy and fusion. She had told him when she walked into the office that she had previous fusions from the '70s and was not going to go through that again. Did not bother seeing her before she was released from the hospital, has not returned a single call, and now has canceled her follow up appointment for another week. She has been in intense pain and has not been able to move without crying for 2 weeks now. We'll be talking to an attorney tomorrow.

Bidros performed a microdiscectomy on me in 2016 and it failed miserably. He recommended surgery because of weakness/numbness in my lower left leg which has not changed since surgery and I have developed more pain in the back and right hip/leg. Just terrible to live with this everyday. Kevin Lafleur

I was referred by my orthopedic doctor to see Dr. Bidros for neck pain. Once we went to my appointment he scheduled me for an MRI and found I had a disc in the my neck that was pinching a nerve. He scheduled surgery and did a fusion between C4 & C5. The pain was gone the same day. I would recommend him to any and all of my friends. I will be contacting him soon now i am having lower back pain. My surgery was done in Lafayette, LA. i will be traveling to Houston to see him. 9-25-17

I went to see Dr Bidros because of a benign Brain tumor which my Father and sister had. He was such a patient and caring man. He listened to me and gave me fantastic advice about the migraines I was having. He reviewed my chart BEFORE he came in and you could tell he was very knowledgeable of my situation Dr Bidros also has a caring staff. The minute you walk in all nurses are so helpful and kind and so willing to help. I loved this Doctor as well as the staff!!! Rosemary Marcello Landry

I am silly over Dr Bidros. He is the most wonderful, kind, loving and compassionate human being I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. To say the is a fine and profoundly qualified neurosurgeon goes without saying. No matter is too small for his notice. Bravo to this standard bearer for the medical profession.

I was required to have two spinal fusions in one year. Dr. Bidros performed both procedures. He saw me immediately and he and his staff were extremely compassionate, professional and made me feel as though I was the only patient they had. They answered all of my questions and have been there both prior to and following my surgeries providing counseling, guidance and support in order that I may heal quickly. I would highly recommend Dr. Bidros.

Dr. Bidros changed my life. I had a sudden issue with my neck and he quickly had me in for surgery. I had a fusion done and it is now almost a year and I am doing great. He and his staff are always friendly and courteous. Dr. Bidros takes his time to discuss any issues or questions I might have. I don't feel like he is trying to hurry me out of the office to get to the next person. I would recommend him without question. I am now able to function normally as I did when I was in my 20's.
