Dr. Dana Kirby, MD

Doctors like this are part of the problem with our health system today. She will not take new patience with existing conditions. How are people supposed to be able to get quality healthcare with changing healthcare providers and doctors who refused to see patience.

She is a doctor who takes the time to listen to you and is concerned about using the precise words so that you understand the laboratory results and all the other information that she needs to tell you... In general, she is a very good doctor, she inspires confidence and I can see that she is trying hard to help me relieve my pain and cure my illness.

I've been a patient of Dr Kirby for about 8 years now and absolutely satisfied with her and all she has treated me for and walked through with me. Would highly recommend her.

Dr. Kirby is okay, but I was surprised by some language she used to describe my medical condition. (Could be hurtful to someone more sensitive.) But staff is the worst! I left a message for her medical assistant for something very basic, and a week later, still no response. I called back about it, spoke with the medical assistant about it, and she said she’d call me right back. That was 3 days ago. So going on two weeks now and no return call and no action. She needs to get rid of that medical assistant! Useless and tactless.

Plan to wait an hour. The first time I saw her was after Dr Sudha left and I was about to lose it by the time she got to me. Unfortunately, she didn’t seem to care at all that I was early for my appointment and she was an hour late seeing me! It wasn’t an anomaly…same experience the other two times I’ve seen her. She does listen and gives good advice on adjusting behaviors as well as provides medication to help with symptoms.

Dr Kirby is the best PCP I have ever had! She is very thorough and gives you the time you need! She has helped me through some difficult situations! I highly recommend her!

I was never able to get scheduled because her RUDE office staff told me they do not take my insurance. I know this is wrong because I work with 3 people that have my have insurance and they go to her ! I’m sure Dr. Kirby is great but her staff is HORRIBLE.

Have been going to her for years. Love her she is so sweet and just a great doctor. Likes to get to know you as a person and she truly cares.

I personally like Dr. Kirby but the office as a whole is unprofessional and unorganized. I had 3 sets of labs to indicate that I needed thyroid medication. They insisted I had to come in. So, I called and said I needed their first 2:00 appointment - she offered a 4:00 appointment. I said, I need something around 2:00 due to scheduling reasons - so offered a 3:30 appointment. Once I made an appointment - I sat for 2 hours waiting. Finally I had to leave and just left my paperwork hoping to have Dr. Kirby look at it and make the prescription. I think it's disrespectful to have someone wait that long without being seen. I will not be going back.

Dr. Kirby has always given me the best care of any Doctor I have ever seen! Always very thorough, thoughtful and caring.

She always listens to my concerns & complaints. She is very thorough. She asks about my life & my family.

Rude front office staff who neglected to tell me they charge $125 new patient fee and tell you you’re stupid for not knowing your own insurance policy... EXCEPT FOR I do know my policy and my last AMAZING Dr. In HOU didn’t charge a fee like that and I just wanted to understand why. Instead I was told it wasn’t their responsibility to know my insurance. I’m well aware my deductible wasn’t met! What I wanted to know was why I was told a month ago I was going to have to pay you $125 fee!!!

i had a great experience at her office, she is very caring and attentive. She was very professional on how she handled my case. I have even sent a couple of co workers to her.

Dr Kirby is always personable. We laugh & share family stories. She always takes time to listen. I’ve referred my coworkers & family to her as well.

She has been my primary care physician for over 20 years and I love her. She always takes the time to listen to you and you are never felt rushed. Excellent family doctor that I highly recommend!!

Worst doctor ever. Always late. Every appt I had she was more than 20 mins late. She'd usually blame it on other patients which I could understand. However, the last visit I had I was her first patient at 830am. I arrived at 745. I walked out at 855am having still not seen her. Very unprofessional with no regard for anyone's time.

I like Dr. Kirby a lot. The staff has a lot to be desired at times...but I travel 10 miles passing at least 10 different doctors on the way to see Dr. Kirby. I have never had a problem with her diagnoses. She was always informative, honest, and good bad side manner.
