I have been going to Dr Axthelm for 4 or 5 years for arthritis and he has been very helpful! He is friendly and knowledgeable as well as Connie his receptionist! I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Axthelm was very knowledgeable and thorough. The wait was about 40 minutes for the first appointment. He prescribed medication for my arthritis and concluded that I should have had my knees replaced by now. He has recommended the Texas Hip and Knee Center. He only takes checks or cash.

He is not up to date with current treatment protocols. He doesn't like patient involvement in the care plan. He doesn't like to answer questions. He told me that the medication he was prescribing for my condition would make me blind and offered no other alternatives. His receptionist is the rudest person I've had to deal with. She took it upon herself to answer medical questions without even looking in my chart and gave me a very difficult time in trying to schedule a visit. Office not clean.

I have seen Dr. Axthelm for over 20 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. He is always kind & gentle & cares for his patients. I see him for fibromyalgia & he has helped me manage it all these years. He doesn't force you to do anything you're not comfortable with. He spends as much time as needed. My first visit was a lengthy exam & interview. He is very thorough. I have recommended him many times & everyone has been pleased with him.

Front receptionist (Connie, I believe) is very rude & short on the phone. I am trying to set up a self pay appointment for my other & Connie was short, absolutely rude and offered no help. My sister is in the medical profession so I had her call Dr. Axthelm to which Connie answered the phone to discuss my mothers options. Apparently Connie said I've talked to your brother like 7 times, what do you WANT? After dialogue with my sister Connie just plainly hangs up on her mid sentence. HORRIBLE

Dr. Axthelm is very caring, gentle in examination of my fibromyalgia and through. He has helped me find the right medications and with information to help control the symptoms. I would recommend him to anyone needing a rheumatologist.
