In 2009 Dr Reynolds quickly diagnosed my choroidal melanoma, a rare eye cancer, and rushed my to the Mayo for treatment that basically saved my life. He claimed to have only seen in once before in his career but immediately recognized it. Thank you, Dr Reynolds.

Was told I needed to see someone right away or I'd have permanent eye damage. That is why I kept my appointment after getting sick. I figured I'd be over my cold by time I had the appointment, and I was right. I still wore a mask, but instead of write me an Rx for eye drops or anything, I was told to leave. Keep in mind that the front office staff along with most everyone sitting in the waiting area were coughing more than I was (I coughed once). Some were even blowing their noses. The staff said it was for the safety of their patients that they couldn't even be bothered to write me an Rx. I don't buy that seeing as they had sugar cookies all sprawled out in the open. Not only were they left out where anyone could cough on them, but most of his patients are diabetics and shouldn't even be eating sugar cookies. People were putting alcohol gel on their hands, grabbing cookies, touching their dirty purses and coats, then eating the cookies with dirty fingers. Nasty!

Clearly, Dr. Reynolds and Dr. Gullapalli are world class retina specialists. It is astounding that a regional outstate medical market can retain specialists of their exceptional caliber and whole hearted dedication. As a high risk retina patient, I am frequently on my knees praising God that He has blessed me with access to their level of acumen, genuine patient care and devotion. Critics of the perceived long wait to be seen during appointments, may benefit from being enlightened by the fact that there is a serious shortage of retina specialists in the United States. This coupled with the fact that the rapidly aging Baby Boomers (approx. 70% of the population) are decending on an already over-burdened health care system creates the perfect storm of long waiting periods. So of course there is inevitably a long wait; but it is in no way the fault of the Central MN Retina Specialists Clinic. They are simply seeking to meet the demands of providing outstanding retina healthcare to as many
