Have visited Dr. Sircar twice and want to thank him for his consistently excellent care, vast medical knowledge, and great patience in explaining foot and nail conditions. He is attentive, responsive, smart, personable, patient, and very kind -- could not ask for a better array of qualities in a physician! I love a business that can welcome feedback and provides a place for listening to their customer's concerns. I came in with a sesamoid fracture / sesamoiditis injury. Getting the diagnosis was quick and efficient, but I was given vague advice for how to heal. Dr. Sircar told me to simply walk on my heel or wear a boot until the pain went away. No follow up appointment or healing timeline. Wearing the boot for a month threw off my gait. The imbalance created neuropathy (pins and needles, numbness and coldness) in my compensating leg. The best thing I did for myself was to get a wheelchair and off-load both my feet for two months. I found podiatrist Dr. Richard Blake who has written a lot about sesamoid injuries. He has a Sesamoid Fracture Office Handout on his website that was extremely helpful. I fully recovered after 5 months! I would recommend going to Sansum Clinic for the diagnosis. Then seeing a sports medicine podiatrist or physical therapist for the real healing.
