Dr. Kump
Dr. Kump has always been straightforward about what I need and what I don't need. He makes sure to inform me of alternatives before surgery is decided. I am Thankful and grateful to his kind nature and bow ties.

Excellent and thorough doctor!
I find Dr. Kump to be very kind, knowledgeable and thorough with the examination of my hip troubles. He is a good listener and I felt he is looking out for my best interest. I did not feel rushed. I feel confident that we will be able to figure out the issues and remedy it.

Excellent care
Dr. Kump explained the MRI results on my knee and recommendations for treatment. He listened and answered my questions. I got an injection and he explained each step during the quick procedure.

I have been to Dr Kump two times for knee injections. He is a wonderful down to earth Dr who takes his time and explains everything to you. I feel very comfortable coming to him. A very nice man! The lady at the front desk who also works at Ortho on call is so pleasant to talk to. Always has a smile on her face and happy. Very sweet!

Excellent physician, highly recommend.
Dr. Kump took time to talk with me and asked specific questions which indicated to me he had reviewed my information prior to seeing me. Nothing about the visit felt rushed. I appreciate his taking time to explain my situation.

Agree with other poor reviews
I also didn’t have a great experience with Dr. Kump. He recommended a partial meniscectomy but my surgeon who did my other knee recommended repair. When I actually did some research the articles at NIH website suggested that repair had better long term outcomes for my type of tear. Without going into too much detail there was a final interaction with Dr. Kump that went very poorly. I recommend going with someone else who has a better bedside manner.

Great visit - Great care!
At my most recent visit, I was seen my Max Guillot, Dr. Kump's PA. Max is a great guy, listened carefully, was very informative. He gave me a cortisone injection in the knee - did a masterful job! I hardly felt a thing - and it has been very effective. Another very satisfying experience with this team. Thanks!

Lacks compassion
First knee wasn't great but the second knee started off great but following the doctors orders, it went downhill quickly too one of the worst medical experience I have experienced. His ability to keep me comfortable with trazadone and Tramadol was a joke.

This doctor diagnosed me for a torn meniscus, but his representation to my insurance stated I had severe arthritis, so insurance denied the minor surgery. His suggestion was a knee replacement. However I gained a second opinion, my new doctor stated my arthritis was minimal, surgery of meniscus tare has been completed and I am doing great. Dr Kump complaint records are concerning and I look at this as a blessing that I found another doctor that handled my minor surgery vs a knee replacement. This is very concerning and should be looked into why he misrepresented my issue with my insurance. I have my xrays and MRI to that show minimal arthritis and a minor meniscus tare. I have shared my experience with many people and have recommended another ortho group vs Ortho.

Only had two appointments with this doctor. I will not go back to him unless he is the last doctor available in Virginia for orthopedics. The first appointment he was too busy to see me and sent his pa. His PA, Max is very nice and knowledgeable. He actually listened to me and gave solutions to my knee pain. I received a mri of my knee then finally met Dr Kump at my next appointment for follow up and reading my mri results. This visit lasted only 5 minutes. It consisted of the physician telling me my cartilage was worn, I need a total knee replacement at 32 years old. He then told me I was too young (which I totally understand) and too fat to do anything for. I asked about a brace or other things that could be done for my knee instead of a replacement. I was told the only thing I can do is lose weight, it would make everything in my life better. I realize that I’m overweight, always have been to some extent. I also have bad family genetics for joints. But my weight shouldn’t keep me fr

I went in for a right hip injection. Dr. Kump was very professional and friendly and put me right at ease before, during and after the procedure. In 2005 I went to him for a left hip replacement and I think Dr. Kump is exceptional in his field. Hoped & searched for him for my newest hip problem. So glad that he was still practicing.
