Rude - very judgmental, totally miss diagnosed me
Her dismissive nature and miss diagnosis landed me in the hospital for 10 days.

HORRIBLE DOCTOR
Had a virtual appointment with her and she was rude right from the start. I had concerns about my lab results since one of my results showed high and than she went on saying “oh it’s probably a false positive” I began to explain my symptoms how I wake up everyday with bloating, gas, nausea and pain in my abdominal and I told her that wasn’t normal living like that for the past 2 years and than she said “ Well probably God made you that way” I was shock and felt so disrespected I told her as a doctor and professional you shouldn’t be saying that and she answered “ yes I can” she did not care how rude she was nor cared about my feelings and symptoms that I am going through. I would give her 0 stars if I could 1 star is just to much for her. Her license should be revoked after reading and seeing that I am not the first person she disrespected.

Dr. Wilhelmy has been my PCM for about 2.5 years now, except after the 4 appointments I've had during that time frame I have only been able to see her once. My impression of a PCM was to have a health provider who was more familiar with you than just seeing random people anytime something of concern came up. While she is matter of fact, which is much appreciated, she also is dismissive of my concerns. I have asked for specific information regarding my health and/or indications of any concerning trends and have received NOTHING. She absolutely embodies the TriCare standard of needing to be half dead before actionable steps are taken. From my experience, the service member is the priority except we live in a new time where service members are not the sole means of income and their families health and well-being matter. If in fact being mission-ready is a priority, then I STRONGLY suggest cleaning up the healthcare system, starting with negligent providers like C. Wilhelmy.

She traumatized me. I am a doctor. I had a concern and when I expressed it, she immediately made an assumption without going over health history or doing a clinical exam. She then called me "stupid and dumb," multiple times in my appointment. I was in shock. Doctor's should provide education and discuss risks and benefits. Not shame their patients if they disagree with choices of their patients. I reported her to the Patient Advocate. I wish I had reported her the Inspector General. Do not go to her, but if you do and she degrades you, speak up, tell the clinic, report it higher. Its not your fault and unfortunately you are not alone. You deserve better care.

I visited Dr. Wilhelmy for an initial visit and was immediately turned off and will never return. When discussing gynecological history and risks for cervical cancer, a highly sensitive and personal topic, Dr. Wilhelmy kept remarking that "having cervical cancer isn't that bad, you just keep going back and chop chop chop" and "hopefully when you go back next they don't have to keep cutting it out of you." Her remarks had me in tears for the hours after my appointment that afternoon. Shame on Dr. Wilhelmy for not treating her patient with sensitivity and appropriate bedside manner.

Dr. Wilhelmy is not your typical provider, but she is very caring and practical. Sometimes you need to hear it straight and she doesn't sugar coat anything. If you're doing something that will harm you, she won't mince words about it. I'm happy to have her as my provider because she has never let me down when I've needed something. She's the only provider I've had in the military who doesn't look at her watch while we are disucssing my issues. I trust her.

Dr Wilhelmy provided my pregnancy care until 36 weeks when she sent me to Fort Belvoir for labor. She never tested my TSH in pregnancy and my daughter was born with congenital hypothyroidism. I was severely hypo in pregnancy and I had no idea. She even wrote in my records that she was worried about how bad I felt but she never tested my thyroid! My daughter will live with the condition forever.

This was my first and last visit seeing this provider. I left feeling belittled and disrespected. I went for my 20 week OB check up and the intrusive questions and comments she made were inappropriate and completely unprofessional. You would think she would know better have 18 years of experience. Surely I can't be the only person she has spoken to this way, absolutely ridiculous. I cancelled my follow up appointment with her and requested a different doctor.

She is very dismissive about concerns. At my last visit, after telling her that my issue wasn't caused by injury, she said maybe I just didn't remember hurting myself. I'm not a toddler, falling or running into things isn't something that I normally do. Definitely going to get a second opinion.
