Dr. Cynthia Michel-Knowles, DO

I have had an awful experience with Dr. Cynthia Knowles and the office every visit, which made me look for another new doctor. I find her to be not pleasant and rude at these visits, especially when discussing my symptoms. She walks in the room, says hi without even looking at me then she would go to her laptop. Not to mention that she is always rushing and making you feel like your illiterate. I felt like I could not be open with her. One visit was so bad, I went home sobbing (this has never happened to me before). This woman lacks Patient bed-side manners. Would not recommend her to anyone.

I find her to be extremely rude and aloof, especially when discussing sensitive medical information. One visit was so bad, I left sobbing (this has never happened to me before). I have never felt so judged and shamed by a provider in my life. This woman lacks bedside-table manners. Not to mention she is hours late almost every visit. Would not recommend her to my worst enemy.

I have been a patient (male) of Doctor Michel-Knowles for over a decade now and have always found her and her staff to be very friendly, informal, pleasant and most of all, competent. Although initially a little reluctant to trust my health to either a DO or a female doctor, over the years I have found her to be very competent and thorough and able to explain my medical issues simply and in a very down-to-earth fashion. When necessary, she is not reluctant to refer situation to a specialized Doctor.

Dr. Knowles is extremely thorough. She takes time to ask questions and listen to your answers. She is easy to talk with and explains everything. I can't say enough positive things about her, after trying about 4 different general practitioners.

Cares more about $ that her patients. Office staff is uncaring and incompetent. I was called less than 2 hours before my appointment to inform me that I needed to add Dr Knowles to my Florida Blue. I did online but it didn't show right away so I called FL Blue and they confirmed the change and gave me a ref# for the Dr to verify. Called the Dr and they still did not show it changed and said that the ref# was useless and they could do nothing. Less than 30 minutes before my appointment and all that they offered was for me to pay out of pocket or reschedule (I had to wait a month for this appointment). Despite the fact that they KNEW that I had insurance they would not just see me and deal with insurance later. They even went so far as to claim that I was previously told to add Dr Knowles to my insurance which was a lie. If the office staff is anything like Dr Knowles I believe that I dodged a bullet.

I been with Dr. Michel/ Knowles for over 13 years and recommended several to her with All good rating. She was always on point and cared deeply considering about my health. My first visit recovering from cancer She took every effort that I will be fine and see at the time my seven years grow who is in college and still going strong she’s been on top of things plus sees my daughter. Highly recommendable

Terrible, no empathy, she never smiled, walked inside the room, say hi without even looking at me then she'd go to the laptop. She was always rushing. I didn't feel like I could be open with her.

Office efficiently run. Staff is friendly and professional. Dr Knowles is very approachable and thorough. Grateful for the referral and highly recommend!

Doctor skipped annual lung imaging screenings for high risk smoker, prostate cancer survivor, who now has lung cancer that was caught when changing doctors.

First time visit to this Doctor. I found the level of professionalism to be very high. My wait time was very short. Cynthia spent the time to sit with me and personally record my medical history. This was one of the best experiences I have had at a doctor's office in recent years.

I requested prescription & home physical rehab for my husband. She told me to wait until after she looked at the lab results (by end of day). I did not hear back from her. I called her office (left msg with her staff). No response. I left two more messages. No one returned my calls. The doctor called me back only after my husband left her an upset message. I want a refund for the visit. I gave her an opportunity to set things right. She refused to provide the services for which I paid.

After my previous doctor for over 35 years retired I was hesitant about finding a new doctor. I am now a patient of Doctor Cynthia Michel-Knowles and couldn't be happier. The staff are friendly, have a sense of humor, and are very proficient in handling patients and doing the preliminaries before the doctor enters the room. Dr. Knowles does not rush the appointment, explains the tests results thoroughly, and treats me with respect and concern. I did not wait more than 15 min. Very happy.

As a physician myself I often question what do patients expect from us, I resent that the only bad review Dr. Knowles has received is from a patient that is not diligent enough to at least get the standard annual examination. For everyone's info even insurances companies do not consider a patient an established one after three years but rather a new one. Any physician in the same situation would have done the same because new pt appointments are usually limited because of the time they require.

My husband and I had seen Dr. Knowles in the past and I don't see doctors just because I'm sick, so I have not seen her in 3 years. I am actually sick now and the staff told me that they only thing they could do for me was to go to Urgent Care. It must be nice to be so busy that you can turn business away. I will be finding a Dr. that just doesn't toss me out of their system because I don't visit too often! We will both be taking our business else where.

Dr Knowles is the first doctor in a long time that I felt completely comfortable with, she listens to what your saying, she doesn't make you feel rushed through your appointment and really explains what is going on in terms you can understand. I have had only good experiences with Dr Knowles and would recommend her.

I have been seeing Dr Knowles for the past couple of years and am very pleased with her and her staff's treatment. I get treated very well and feel that she really listens to my concerns and also feel that she genuinely cares about my medical status. When I first started coming to her clinic my test results were very poor and extremely dangerous levels. Since then with her plan she has helped me to get everything back to a reasonable status. To Dr Knowles and staff I am very greatful. Thank you
