Absolutley Highly recommend
After recently being diagnosed with severe cartoid stenosis A few weeks ago to a recent visit to the ER with stroke symptoms. I had the privilege of being introduced to Dr kenmuirs stroke team shortly after being admitted due to test results that had suggested further action. In my case was a stent to be deployed to my corotoid artery due to significant blockage I had aquired. Dr. Kenmuirs staff was very thorough in delivering answers to my questions in regards to the stenting procedure beginning to end leaving me feel In great hands with Dr. Kenmuir. Whom I selected for the procedure. In closing. I am writing this review as a very successful Patient and success story of Dr kenmuirs. I recieved the procedure (Cartoid artery stent) just days ago and I am very grateful to have experienced and be blessed to have Dr Kenmuir perform this procedure which enables me a 2nd chance. Dr. Kenmuir and her stellar stroke team provided everything they had promised 'Felling grateful'

A stroke patient in UPMC Altoona 2021
I NEVER had a neurology consult when I arrived. She doesn’t take call after 6;30 I was told. Not even a tele conference with Pittsburgh, the TV never came on.

I was referred to Dr. Kenmuir for an angiogram with planned stent after Doppler and CT scans w/contrast showed major blockage in the left carotid artery. During the procedure at UPMC Altoona, PA, Dr,. Kenmuir discovered the shape of the blocked artery (later determined at 95 %) would cause problems with the stent and would require surgery later. She then gave me 2 Doctor options for the surgery. I was contacted the next day by Dr. Paul Gardner at UPMC Prespy in Pittsburgh. The endarterectomy surgery was recently done and recovery is progressing daily. Dr. Kenmuir's decision to abort the stent procedure was 100 % correct in my book. I think another doctor with a GUNG HO attitude would have resulted in a temporary solution for a permanent problem. I hope Dr. Kenmuir continues to practice at UPMC Altoona, PA

Dr. Kenmuir is a neurologist, treating specialized medical needs. She directly told us that she only makes herself available 5 days a week for any situations with her patients because she does not want to be "over stressed" with any after hours situations. She wants neurologist's money, but not the responsibility after hours. She should move to a nice and easy practice like primary care if this is how she sees herself.

Saw Dr. Kenmuir while in hospital with stroke like symptoms. She told me I didn't have a stroke. I asked what else could cause the same symptoms. Her only answer was that it was all in my head. Another doctor said several different conditions can have the same symptoms. He ordered some labs to be drawn to check on one condition. Results will be ready soon. Seems to me that Dr.Kenmuir is a poor diagnostitian with limited thinking when it comes to neurological conditions.
