I had the luxury of being misdiagnosed and poorly medicated by Dr Janes. She was a very harsh and judgmental person. She diagnosed me as bipolar and I am now diagnosed with ADHD and doing very well with my current Dr. I have struggled for years because of her misdiagnosis and I do not think she is qualified to have a medical license.

Terrible Person
This "psychiatrist" treated my husband for years. He eventually switched doctors because she refused to return phone calls. After he killed himself, she did not offer condolences when I visited the office to see another psychiatrist on the team. Also, I heard her berate patients or saw her ignore them on at least two occasions. My overall impression? She is not a nice person and couldn't care less.

I love Dr.Janes! I have been seeing her for about two years. I was in terrible shape when I started going to see her. I have horrible depression and PTSD. It took a while trying different medicines, before I felt better. I still have the problems, but it is more manageable now. Dr. Janes is moving to another state and I will truly miss her!!! I hope I can find someone like her.

I've been going to Dr. Janes for 13 years. She is an excellent psychiatrist. Unfortunately at the end of 2/18 she is closing practice and leaving Nashville. I will sorely miss her.

Dr J was initially fine, albeit very quick when she saw me every session; I felt 10 mins was too long for her. One day I arrived a few mins late, however I had called the office prior and was not told not to come in. I was waiting in the waiting room, she came out for the next pt which I thought would be me, she literally did NOT make any eye contact with me, ignored my presence and took the next pt. I sat there very confused. Should I wait/go? Office staff were nice but didn't help. Wont return
