Nice enough but off topic.
I saw Dr. Lue in October 2024 after being referred by my PCP for new fatigue and joint pain. Unfortunately, much of the appointment was spent discussing unrelated topics, including his daughter's music education. When we did discuss my symptoms, he focused on my dermatographic urticaria—something I noted in my intake forms—rather than the primary reason for my visit. I brought up a condition I had been researching that matched my symptoms, but he dismissed it, saying no one at the clinic could evaluate it. While he did order labs and X-rays (which came back normal), his follow-up call again centered on the urticaria. When I redirected the conversation back to my main concerns, he said there was nothing more he could do. While I understand not every case has a clear answer, I left feeling unheard and frustrated by the lack of focus on my actual complaints.

I always feel rushed when I get in the exam room. He seems to have no time for questions. I've had 2 other doctors diagnosed me with lupus, but since he wasn't the one that made the diagnosis. He says I don't have lupus, yet he has me on medicine that treats lupus. He wants to see me every 6 months, yet he never does blood tests only talks. I'm tired of wasting my time and money.

Dr. Lue has been my rheumatologist for seven years. He is a great listener who is patient, thorough, and caring. He keeps up with the latest research and reads widely across medical disciplines. He works hard to coordinate care with your other medical providers.
