Dr. Cuc Nguyen, MD

I have been seeing Dr Nguyen for over 15 years. She is kind and caring. An excellent listener, she has helped me so very much! She listens without judgement and is a great collaborator. I have a number of chronic health issues and am a retired RN and know what I’m talking about.Her practice is usually full but if you are able to get in you are lucky!

She is the best doctor I have ever had when it comes to my mental health. She has finally prescribed me the right meds after years of poor recommendations and rude behavior from other psychologists. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Nguyen.

The first psychiatrist to actually explain my diagnosis to me and help me overcome the stigma around it. She cares about asking me about my personal life. She is not a therapist so it's short sessions and that's not her main thing, so I was surprised she cared. Took a while to find the right medication for me, but she really listened and worked with me to find the right kind and get the right diagnosis. I once had a psychiatrist not ever take my side effects seriously and just kept upping my dose until the medication had me passing out from dizziness. Idk why some reviews say she doesn't care/ is judgmental. I can see how she is not for everyone as she is quiet, but she is not judgmental and really cares in my experience.

I have been seeing Dr. Nguyen for sometime now and she is great. Very open to hearing about you and will ask questions most people would not bother to dig into. Very knowledgeable in medication use and has a conservative approach when using medications.

Dr Nguyen is absolutely wonderful. She's the most compassionate caring doctor I have ever seen. She found a medication that has no side affects and that itolerate well. I was hard to diagnose since I was so atypical for the diagnoses. Even my psychologist was surprised by the diagnosis. Dr Nguyen collaborates with my psychologist so I get the best treatment possible.

I have been seeing Dr. Nguyen for a couple of years now. She keeps good notes on me and is very thoughtful in her practice of medicine. She has my best interests in mind.

My experience with Dr. Nguyen has been amazing. She has worked with me to find the right balance of medication that works for ME, and I never feel like she's pushing any medication onto me. She's clear about her intentions, and how she sees my therapy playing out. I hardly even take something for a headache, so this approach matters to me. She listens to me, asks me great questions, and doesn't treat me like I'm just another patient. To be honest, I'm completely shocked by the negative reviews on here. This woman could not be nicer, and sweeter if she tried! I'm super happy I go to her and I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking therapy.

This woman was so creepy. I felt so uncomfortable around her. She had the personality of an unhappy zombie. How does that help patients?

Misdiagnosed me. Didn't explain diagnosis. Had she used mainstream terminology or explained my diagnosis, I would have walked out the first session.

If you are looking for someone to simply prescribe you something, Dr. Nguyen is the way to go. However, if you are looking for someone to get to know you and your symptoms and work with you to find a solution - I would not recommend Cuc. Her appointments are 30 minutes long, she uses the basic mental health surveys that you would find online to evaluate you and doesn't dig too much into your life other than that. When you do start to talk about the intricacies of your life, she is judgemental.
