She did not treat me as an individual. She was not my regular doctor, but was on call the day of my check up and at 40 weeks, decided to induce me after she misread a stress test. I was slowly beginning to go into labor and I do not believe the induction was necessary. Which was validated after 24 hours of monitoring and she still pushed for induction methods. She kept me awake for 30 hours doing procedures before I ended up having a c section, likely because of exhaustion. She should not be a doctor. She is the opposite of a healer and causes unwanted trauma using fear based language to push patients into agreeing with interventions. I wish someone could do something about her. It appears I am one of many that were treated this way. I was not given enough information to make fair decisions in such an intense environment.

Fake listening, interventions-driven
Dr. Perez presented herself as carrying during pregnancy and seemed to ‘listen’ to concerns. She mocked my size of belly and age. She skipped a few appointments and didn’t perform ultrasound baby position before birth. During delivery, she changed in Dr. Hyde to Dr. Jekyll! She was impatient and kept adding unnecessary interventions! Ended up in c-section as she was not willing to wait. There was no distress to baby or mother, just simply her shift was ending and she wanted to deliver!

My experience with Dr. Perez was not positive. She was also pregnant so I tried to cut her some slack. I was 39 so she treated me as an at risk patient bc of advanced maternal age and made me get induced at exactly 40 weeks. I am still battling crazy post delivery anxiety.

Water broke, but no contractions. Requested for Dr. Perez to wait and “let me try to get things going” but she didn't allow & started pitocin (worst pain ever). To make matters worse she left after induced me: “bc I thought you weren’t gonna deliver on the 13th” even though that was my due date. So I ended up delivering with another physician who I'd never seen. I'd not recommend her to ANYONE. She seemed nice all along but when it came to it, she didn’t respect my wishes & left me mid-delivery.

Dr. Perez was my wife's doctor for our first child. She seemed to listen our concerns and she agreed to respect our birth plan. However on the delivery day, Dr. Perez seemed like a different person and applied many unnecessary interventions and provided false info that baby heart rate has dropped when in fact the monitors were off. I design these devices and know how they function. My wife was asked to push prematurely and that caused an internal injury. She was hospitalized for 10 days

Dr. Perez was my doctor for my first baby and I wasn't happy with the childbirth experience. The next baby I switched to another doctor, but she ended up being on call that night. Dr. Perez does not listen anything a patient says. With my first baby she had agreed to follow my birth plan before I went into labor. However on the day of labor, she seemed like she had her own agenda and did many things against my will. With my second baby she used intimidating language during delivery.

Dr. Perez applied unnecessary interventions during childbirth. She decided to break my water when I was only 4cm dilated which caused bay distress. She then decided to refill the water which distressed baby further. An emergency C-section followed. During recovery I was given really strong pain medication and did not feel an enormous problem unfolding - blood like a bubble formed near my uterus and she did not even diagnose it. I was then taken for emergency surgery. Needless to say, trauma.

Dr. Perez failed to provide adequate care for me during pregnancy, delivery and during a postpartum illness. She did't respect my birth plan. Since Dr. P was extremely busy, she forced me to push baby prematurely, resulting in 2nd degree tear & a life-threatening ovarian vein thrombophlebitis. To speed up delivery, she tried to falsely claim baby distress and use interventions - forceps and vacuum. I ended hospitalized for 6 days for OVT and she once again she mistreated and delayed treatment.
