Ignores Patients with Referrals
I was sent to this office with a referral from my doctor after incredibly abnormal blood results. Dr. told me that I needed to be seen that week. Long story short, you can NOT talk to anyone on the phone to schedule anything. They force you into a "secure text message site" where they say they will get back to you as soon as possible. I texted multiple times and they ignored me. I also literally chose every option on their phone message just to see if I could get ANYONE from staff on the phone, and no matter what you choose you are sent to automated messages and told to leave your own message. I don't know what her staff gets paid to do, but they definitely don't help patients.

Waited nearly three hours after my appointment time before I saw a doctor and it was not Dr. Boccalandro. Was told by staff that this was the usual pattern for her. That kind of behavior shows disrespect for her patients and a total lack of customer service. If a patient showed up three hours late, they would probably not be seen but still charged a no show fee. The doctor I did see seemed OK but because I had another doctor's appointment, she only had eight minutes (the time I had left before I had to leave for my other appt) to speak with me. Remember I had been there for almost THREE hours.

Dr. Boccalandro has been nothing short of amazing. Her demeanor, her explanations and diagnoses of my situation were well thought out and most of all professional. Her staff is very friendly and eager to help with any and all questions. Phone inquiries were pretty normal procedure for any doctor's office. She was referred to me by my mother who used to be a nurse at Methodist and her network of co-workers recommended her by a landslide and I would also wholeheartedly recommend her.

I love this doctor & her staff. Never give up attitude, spends more than 15 minutes with her patients & listens like she's interested. My last visit on 1/8/18 was at 2:20pm. 2:26pm I was called to the back for vitals, 20 minutes later in - house labs, then straight to a room to wait for her. . Left her office at 4:15pm. I gladly travel 2.5 hours out of state to see her. Video/telephone conferences available for follow up appts for out-of-state patients is a plus!

First of all, I want to state that Dr. Bocccalando is a excellent physician. However her staff is a different matter: they are very uncaring you can never ever speak to anyone when you call. All you ever get are voicemails. So if you have an issue that required immediate attention (not an emergency) but does require to be handle immediately you are out of luck. I hate to change my endocrinologist because of un-caring staff. Working in the medical field myself this is unacceptable! Beware!

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroid and because of it I could not get pregnant until my thyroid levels were normal. Although it took a while to get my first appointment with Dr. Boccalandro I was so glad I did. Thanks to her treatment, within 3 months my thyroid levels were normal and I was able to get pregnant. She maintained my thyroid levels normal throughout my pregnancy (giving me the lowest dosage possible). I am truly thankful for Dr. Boccalandro and Rhea Ortiz. Highly recommend!

There were considerable delays in receiving / posting my test results, and when they were finally posted after a few weeks, my primary concerns were not addressed. Perhaps it is a portal error, but there were quite a few misspelled words in the diagnosis listed on the portal, which does not lead to confidence in the results. It could be just a simple language barrier issue, so I am attempting to be fair, but I decided not to return for a follow up visit.

Doctor was extremely demeaning and insinuated that I was just crazy and not having the symptoms described. Did not listen when I attempted to explain my symptoms. I brought a list of symptoms I have been having and she did not even read it. Made degrading and humiliating inappropriate comments about my tubal ligation.

I just received a call from Dr Boccalamdro around 8 pm. I had a biopsy done on my thyroid. I received great news but my point is that this doctor took the time to call me. I have been eager to hear the results and she took the time and effort to call personally and after hours. Her mannerism made me feel calm and confident through the procedure. Five stars for this specialist.
