Dr. Cristian Dinescu, DO

My visits with doctor Dinescu so far have been lacking. He was very judgmental when he found out I don’t/am not having children and got a hysterectomy due to medical issues. On top of it all, he doesn’t listen and take your history and if you’re a woman and your husband is in the room he won’t listen to you. I explained multiple times I couldn’t exercise anymore because of the pain and that’s why I got overweight, he proceeded to tell me I was sick because I was fat. No, I got fat because I am sick but thanks for that. He didn’t ask what I eat or anything, just launched into this rant about the average American eating too many calories a day. When I argued with him because I wasn’t having it, he left the room and came back with a print out for a disease that has no tests, treatment, or cure and passive aggressively highlighted a section that said “patients are often frustrated” because I dared to disagree with outdated “facts” he presented. I expect better from a hospital.

Dr Dinescu has a level of caring and commitment not seen much into todays world. His level of experience and knowledge is mind blowing. It's obvious the Lord put him on the earth to a be a doctor. You could go to 10 other doctors and not get as much info as this Doctor will give you. He won't sugarcoat it, he tells it like it is, and I respect him for that immensely. When he sees an issue he digs in on your behalf. Best Doctor I have been too yet. On a personal level he is a very very caring man who will listen to in tough times.

I found his candor refreshing. He agreed to be my general practitioner. But unfortunately, left his practice to work in a hospital environment.

It's funny how only the good reviews get answers. He does not particularly care for female patients. He is condescending, and yes he is rude. I recently got a letter saying he was leaving. Good, so now I can go back. The staff is very nice and it is a good practice. Dr. Sara Corr is sorely missed, she was really great.

I was admitted to Medical Center of Aurora and Dr. Dinescu was the MD listed on my Discharge papers. I didn't even see him once. I had an EKG, EEG, Head CT and MRI and no one every came to tell me the results of the test. I also had blood taken 3 times, and never got the results from that either. I was discharged less then 24 hours and was told to follow up with my PCP. I only found out I had a mini stroke after looking at my discharge papers.

Though not my regular pcp, who was sick, Dr. Dinescu definitely took the time to see me on short notice and made me feel that he was aware of my concern for diagnosing my condition.

I got an appointment within 2 hours of my call. Dr. Dinescu saw me within 10 minutes of my arrival and quickly diagnosed my problem, told me what to do, and gave me prescriptions. I followed his directions and was feeling better within 24 hours and was able to go to work within 2 days.

I have really gotten to know and like having Dr. Dinescu for my primary care physician. Appointments do not take weeks to arrange and I found his annual physicals to be very thorough. We discussed a broad range of health related issues and its obvious Dr. Dinescu is keeping up on the latest research. Having a board certified internal MD for a PCP is great. I plan to be a patient for a long time (well at least until the big dirt nap).

I felt that Dr. Dinescu was knowledgeable about my history and had answers to any questions that I had. I did not feel rushed and felt his concern for me as his patient. I also like having my blood drawn prior to the appt. so that results could be discussed.

Dr. Dinescu and his staff are terrific. Dr. Dinescu is coscientious, detail oriented. He listens carefully and does not overbook or rush, as do so many pcp/internists. My husband also sees him. We are both very satisfied. We hope to send our adult son there as a a new patient, when time allows.. I feel they will always get you in somehow if necessary.

Dr. Dinescu had been instrumental in getting my mother back on track with better health. Her unwillingness to keep up on regular check ups has made her health a challenge. Even though she does not like to hear about the hurdles she has yet to make she has confidence in Dr. Dinescu's knowledge and proven medical advice given so far. His patience and understanding of how to speak with my mother is most appreciated.

Very efficient and understanding

Dr Dinescu has been amazing so far! He listens to my concerns, explains things to me and I can tell he is trying to help me. I did not get the feeling that he does not like woman any of the times that I have seen him as another reviewer mentioned, not at all. He's great and if I move across town, I still plan to use him as my doctor!

Dr. Dinescu has seen me through 2 hip surgeries. He checked on me while I was in the hospital. He has been wonderful with me and with my husband throug any of our health needs. My daughter had an unforseen auto incident where a large rock came off a mountain and into her windshield. Thankfully Dr. Dinescu checked her thoroughly and she was fine.

For some reason he wanted to switch my anti-anxiety/depression meds. He changed me from and SSRI to and SSNI and it was miserable. I called multiple times, sometimes waiting a month to hear back, and was given very little help. The last time I tried, I was told by his nurse that there were no other options and that I needed to call a psychiatrist. That's fine but the meds he put me on put me in a very very bad place and he refused to put me on my old one while I waited to see a psychiatrist.

$500 visit for hypertension, Chlorthalidone scrip. While taking this drug, I experienced a considerable amount of weight gain and dizziness. I called 3 times to discuss this and was summarily dismissed by Linda each time. She insisted that the doctor agrees with her that this medication does not cause weight gain, but neither of them would do any research into the matter. I gave them documentation, but their arrogance has caused me to self medicate since they refuse to research. Disgraceful.

$390 for a basic office visit!!!! Dr did not even understand how to prescribe medicine. Avoid at all costs!!

My $500 office visit went okay, he did all the things I expected. Follow up after that though was very poor. He does not understand the side effects of medicated he prescribed and refuses to do the proper research when I alerted him to a negative effect I was experiencing. He pushes phone calls off on his staff and it takes at least 3 days to get a call back.
