My husband could have died
He gave my husband a new drug. No follow up and no calls. It made him very sick and the drug reaction lasted for about a week after coming off the drug. I’m being silenced in my review.

Worst bedside manner! He YELLED at us
The care taker and my father in law went. They always call me when the dr is in the room so I can sit in on the Appt as my father in law has Alzheimer's. This dr had no patience to wait for me to clarify any questions with my father in law and when I asked him to hold on so Incan have the caretaker translate for my father in law he stormed out of the room. He came back 30 seconds later and was screaming at the caretaker saying it was impossible to see patients when he has to also communicate on speaker phone!!! I asked him to be patient and explained the situation and he was still yelling his responses angrily. I have never in my life had such an experience like this. The caretaker and my father in law thought he was crazy. Last time I will be seeing him. So unprofessional and I wouldn't be surprised if he had some mental issues going.

Communication failure
I have seen many doctors in my 70+ years. Doctor Miranda at Nevada Heart and Vascular is one of the worst I have ever experienced. A friend said Dr. Miranda saying was brilliant, one of the best. I was run all over the valley for multiple tests for weeks, then his inability to communicate the details of my life threatening condition was shocking. He handed me the name of my condition, a prescription to be filled and said to come back in three months. That was it. The prescription, was a “specialty drug” that local pharmacies can not fill and at a cost of $21,000 per month. On my own, I researched online my frightening illness and found assistance in obtaining the necessary prescription. When I learned the seriousness of the condition, I searched for and found a team of doctors who communicate well and make me feel that they genuinely care about my future health. Dr. Miranda may be a brilliant physician but if he cannot or will not communicate, how does that help his patients.

23+ Extra Years so far for me
In 1999 I had a complete blockage in a portion of my heart. Dr. Miranda placed a stent in my heart and started me on various medications. Over the years he has fine tuned my meds which has kept my blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and triglycerides in very good ranges. I find him to be very straight forward with me and credit him with so many extra years of quality life.

Read Before You See Him
After 5 bypass surgery I was referred to Dr. Miranda. I needed stitches removed, sonogram for moving blood clot (potentially life threatening) and another sonogram for 2 other blockages. And I had been to the ER 2X's after the surgery due to critically low blood pressure. I called and called the referral line, Dr.'s nurse line and the appointment line for 2 weeks and could not get a return call. Incompetent, uncaring and unprofessional. They treated me like a dog!

Been a patient of Dr. Miranda’s since I was 41. I am 56 now. My heart was terrible. This Dr. saved my life. I had a defibrillator- pacemaker placed as well as prescribed several meds., but my heart is doing great now. Thank you Dr. Miranda. I will be your patient as long as your available. As some of you say, I was prescribed some of the meds that had a negative review. and have lost nearly 30 pounds. I say take whatever will keep you alive.

Although I was going through a life threatening illness which he misdiagnosed his staff still gave me a 3 month away appointment. And, still had over an hour wait. Thank God I woke up and switched doctors I am alive today. Now being treated for an even more severe illness but surviving.

Dr Miranda is very concerned w prescribing patients w trial meds. The meds side effects were overlooked when it came to my health. Once I took charge of my own health plan & discontinued meds use I have only seen PA & my health has been much better. Staff is 50/50 when it comes to friendliness & professionalism. Prescription refills are timely, prior authorization not so much.

Dr. Miranda is a wonderful doctor. He has treated my father, my mother, myself & my husband. We have been associated with him for 20 years. When my husband was having severe medical problems Dr. Miranda gave me his cell phone number & said to call him if I needed help with anything to do with his treatment, even if it wasn't cardiology related.

I believe he is in the pocket of the pharmaceutical industry, more interested in in selling expensive drugs than the patient. I ended up in the emergency room as a result of his treatment of a disease I did not have with an expensive, high potency drug usually reserved for severe cases of the disease. I am not the only one. Stay away, I do believe he ignores the "do no harm" pledge for greed!

Having been treated by Dr. Miranda 8 years I found him to be excellent. He is innovative, personable, and his knowledge and treatment of diabetes far outstrips the diabetic specialist I had been seeing. After changing my prescriptions and adding a new one, I was able to lose 30 pounds and keep it off, Needless to say, the management of that disease is now much more under control.

Had 2 office visits and never saw him. A resident gave me Rx and the bill was $900 when I went to fill them. I kept my next appt. and when I arrived was told that I had cancelled it. I never did and they must have cancelled it because I complained about the Rx. I got out of a sick bed to go there and as a courtesy they could have let me know they had cancelled it. Very disappointing. His PA who I met on the 1st visit was outstanding and the only good thing I encountered.

Dr. Miranda's bedside manners with my husband, daughter and myself were horrible @Summerlin Hosp. Very condescending, wasted our time, didn't listen or connect with what we were communicating; not easy to talk to you. He is a doctor who showed he didn't care. [The nurses Chris & Anne were excellent & the other floor my husband was admitted. He even had a positive experience when he went to CAT lab for his stent.] A shame to have a negative experience before my husband was released.

Miranda (part of NV Heart & Vascular group) was the cardiologist on call at the Summerlin Hospital (3-3-17). My husband had undergone having an angiogram by Dr. Kahn in same group-who wasn't on duty-we waited 2.5 hrs for Miranda before checking out of hospital to ask questions.Miranda's bedside manners were horrific; very condescending w/a smug attitude, insensitive to my husband & our family's concerns. Beforehand we're thrilled w/my husband's care. Miranda was rude, impatient, shameful!!

Nice man with good intentions. I felt he wasn't relating to me but rather I was just numbers on a page and therefore lumped in with everyone else. Looking for a new doc. This place is a prescription mill, not a place to get well

I was forced to take unnecessary test based solely on my age holding back my surgery for a month ... they then wanted to make me wait an addtonal 3 weeks for a follow up refusing me a more sensible follow up date until I contacted my insurance company ... miraculously they were able to get me in within a week ... Now I have to pray I can get into surgery before my insurance co-pay resets and it cost me an additional $6,700 and they could absolutely care less.
