Dr. Sussman was condescending and rude. Instead of handling the medical Issue at hand, he spent most of the time lecturing about other things not related but which he felt were being handled poorly by our family.

awful experience
First visit he was so thorough and kind. Subsequently, I felt he did not give time or consideration to the severity of my other illnesses in the way his office handled my care. The day before Christmas with no notice his office sent me a very abrupt email refusing to refill my prescription in the height of the Delta wave of COVID-19. I have long covid and have been staying home and doing telehealth as much as possible to avoid re-exposure and I felt his office handled everything so poorly. I had just had labs done at my PC and he hadn't faxed them to them. Rather than working with me, they were very harsh. All of my other doctors have been so kind and understanding of my complex case. He and his staff made me cry. If you're a simple thyroid patient, he may be the right fit. If you have comorbidities, steer clear.

Dr Sussman is one of a kind. He’s been my physician since 1984. He is outstanding and totally dedicated. Plus he is one of the kindest men I’ve ever met. Make no mistake he is highly qualified and very collaborative. I cannot imagine not having him as my physician. Jeff Eason

Dr. Sussman is one of the nicest doctors I have met. His staff is sweet. However, I believe follow-ups can be improved. Other than that, I have nothing but kind things to say about my experience.

so much good knowledge . so very pleasant to talk with. the last time i saw him 13 years ago he resolved my issue of panic attacks and i have never had another one. this current visit was for my thyroid. after the visit i feel 100% sure that he will again resolve my issue. he explained everything in great detail; checked me out with great detail and within 1 hour i had test results from my blood tests. when and if dr sussman ever retires he will be greatly missed by 100's of people.

I have never met a more engaging, caring and compassionate doctor. He is very knowledgeable and has managed my thyroid issues for nearly 15 years. He and his staff make me feel welcome and well cared for and allow me to be an active participant in my health care decisions. I recommend him regularly to others as I have a high level of trust in his abilities.

Dr Sussman has been my go to doctor for more than 2 decades. There is no physician more knowledgeable and compassionate than Dr. Sussman. He truly cares and will go above and beyond to figure out your problem. He will also follow up with patients...he emailed me personally, suggesting a physical because he hadn't remembered seeing me in a year. How many docs do that? He is also an expert on thyroid disorders and has kept me regulated and healthy for years. Best doctor in Nashville...
