I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Spurdle. My 10-year-old son was diagnosed with discoid meniscus in both knees, and after seeing two other doctors, we chose Dr. Spurdle. He and his staff were absolutely amazing! He was very thorough in explaining everything, making sure we understood and answered all our questions. His nurse, Kristine, was especially wonderful. My son had surgery on both knees 6 months apart and both times, the experience was amazing. Nicklaus Children’s hospital has just added a new pediatric surgery side and it’s so modern and clean, we loved it. The nurses and anesthesiologist at the hospital are top-tier as well. My son was back to playing basketball in just four weeks each time, fully recovered, as if he’d never even had surgery. We are so grateful! Do not hesitate to choose Dr. Spurdle for your child’s surgery.

We came to Dr. Spurdle after having a not-so-great experience at another local children’s hospital. He was great with our 5 yrs old son, very patient and understanding.

Dr. Spurdle has been taking care of my daughter since she tore her ACL last year. He’s been really helpful in her recovery, and has been very understanding of here all throughout this process. Me and my daughter are very happy with the surgery results. Dr. Spurdle really is the best orthopedic surgeon.

When our daughter (13) dislocated her kneecap during sports (gymnastics/cheer), we were strongly urged a visit to Nicklaus Children's - and we were fortunate enough to meet with Dr. Spurdle. Not only is he an ortho surgeon, he is also a sports medicine specialist. So, he completely understood and shared our desire to make a full recovery back to sports level. He took the cautious approach with high-def x-rays, MRI, and at each step we kept getting good news that the injury wasn't as bad as we thought. He made sure our daughter understood the importance of doing 3x a week of physical therapy with full effort, and sure enough, she's back to pre-injury form (perhaps even a little stronger). Dr. Spurdle and his team took a lot of stress out of a fairly scary moment by talking us through everything and truly listening to our concerns.

He is super professional, excellent treatment with his patients, and he knows what he is doing. Dr. Spurdle, his team, and hospital personals are excellent. Great service and friendly people. I live in West Palm Beach but its worth going to Miami.

Great doctor, great team, great staff, wait times a little long. I wouldn’t see any other orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Spurdle is fantastic! He is clear concise and is always there to answer all my questions. When my child had to have surgery he guided us thru the entire process from start to finish. His assistant was a delight and always took care of our needs. The wait times in the practice can tend to be long but trust me- for Dr.Spurlde... the wait is worth it.

Dr. Spurdle may be a competent physician, but he fails to answer questions comprehensively and is extremely condescending. He shows no interest in the young patient. The combination of these factors always made me feel like he wasn't telling me the whole truth.
