Dr. Shapiro may have years of experience, but he doesn't seem to have much empathy. He hurries with his appointments - doesn't even take the time to close the office's door and gets annoyed if you ask him questions about pros and cons of an upcoming surgery and its procedures, etc. I agree with most bad reviews that he (and maybe his office) treats you like a merchandise at an assembly line. If you dare to share your fears or concerns about an upcoming surgical procedure, know that he won't like

I have been dealing with a troublesome and chronic issue for more than two months and finally feel I am in good hands with Dr. Shapiro and his staff. Both Dr. Shapiro and Dr. Joorabachi are great, thorough, and kind. I am confident that I will be well treated and they will get to the bottom of everything. The front office staff and nurses also terrific.

I just want to express how happy I am with Dr. Shapiro. My son is 10 yrs. old and had to get a Coblation procedure done. My son is calm so I knew he would stay still and so forth, but Dr. Shapiro also took his time to explain every step, to stop and make sure nothing was hurting, and made my son feel very comfortable during a procedure that even adults can complain about. Dr. Shapiro cares about his patients and that is nice to see. Thank you for everything!

I had a terrible experience during my consultation with Dr. Shapiro. I went to see him because I had experienced an abnormal voice change. I sounded very hoarse. He decided to examine me by inserting a "thin flexible device" through my nose and mouth. First he applied a spray that was supposed to act as anesthesia to numb my throat and nose, but did not wait for the anesthesia to work, and I suffered a terrible pain. His ridiculous diagnosis was that my hoarseness was caused BY "OLD AGE".
