Extremely unprofessional
I never leave reviews but I felt inclined to prevent someone else to encounter this situation. He was extremely unprofessional, rude and flat out wrong during my consultation. Sees me for less than five minutes and acts like he knows my life story. Blamed me for my issues and caused a great deal of emotional stress during my stay in hospital. I have been through multiple psychiatrists, doctors and therapists in my life, would NEVER even think about seeing him again. I am writing this because he literally was the only major issue there. 1 star is too much. 0 is more appropriate

Unprofessional and wrong
Dr. Rush refused to allow my adult autistic son to have his me present during his visit during his hospital stay & yelled at him that he didn't need his mother because he's an adult! My son called me on his cell phone on speakerphone, so I heard Dr. Rush yell at my son that he wouldn't talk to me, even went so far as to tell my son, 'Because of HIPAA I will not talk to your mother!' & left the room without speaking to me or letting me speak to him. Hospital nurses & other staff members heard what the doctor said & did, & told us he was wrong- they agreed a patient DOES have the right to have a person present during a doctor visit. A nurse told us that the doctor is 'abrasive.' My son said that the doctor told him, 'I can do whatever I want to do because I'm the doctor'. Dr. Rush exhibited an unacceptable bedside manner and needs to learn that the patient has rights & is due respect!

Autistic patient and his mother – Jul 11, 2024

Shouldn’t be caring for patients
Confrontational, scolding, aggressive language, with a clear need to dominate. Brazenly confident in his own knowledge without listening to patient’s concerns. Treats nursing staff with disdain. Shocking lack of professionalism

Dr Rush thinks he is god's gift to man,he is a very abusive person ,who treats his patients like crap. When he was at stairways,he was the worst doctor there. He would change prescriptions that you just received the month before by the head person there.Dr Stillman and then say she has no clue what she is doing. When trying to resolve how outrageous he was.He actually tried to have the patient incarcerated and lied to parole to do it.Parole found his story to be a sham! But shows he isn't stable!

male patient in millcreek, PA – Oct 05, 2016

Mentally abuses his patients. Has noticeable mood swings from day to day. Extremely condescending and callous. Has a raging god complex and enjoys the control he has over the psychologically vulnerable. Emotionally flatlines on a level dangerously close to sociopathic. Should not be allowed to continue in this field under any circumstances.
