Extraordinary
I found Dr. Brown to be quite thorough in his approach to my issues. My surgery was practically a non-event in that I feared pain that never materialized! I'm his biggest fan.

Caring, Professional, and Amazing Doctor!
Dr. Brown helped me heal from chronic anal fissures that I was experiencing after the birth of our second child for over 8 weeks. I was in severe, debilitating pain. Dr. Brown helped me make the decision to have surgery, and I am so glad that I did! I experienced immediate relief, and then 2 weeks following the procedure was completely pain-free. Dr. Brown cares about his patients and works to find the best solution that will help you. I can't recommend him enough!

Dr Brown is a god send!!
The kindest doctor Ever! With in seconds he knew what was going on. I had lost all hope knowing if I continued to bleed and me nonactive with the pain I was experiencing I was not going to make it .Ive been in and out of proctologists and GI offices with no answers or any hope at all.Surgery went as expected and healing is going as explained. God bless this human and I will keep him in my prayers as long as I live. If you have Crohn’s and he isn’t If he isn’t on your medical team, he should be.

Wonderful surgeon
This is the first time I’ve written a review of a doctor (I’ve had many surgeries), but I was so impressed with the care and compassion from Dr. Brown that I feel compelled to take the time to offer this review. Dr. Brown was the only doctor I have been a patient offered me his cell phone number to call should I have any questions or concerns. I did call him once a few days after being released from the hospital with concerns about my recovery and he returned my call within 15 minutes…by the way, it was on a Sunday. I would recommend this surgeon 100% for any colorectal procedure.

Excellent With Friendly Bedside Manner
Each time that I visited Dr. Craig Brown he made me feel comfortable with his smile, and the greeting, "how are you, buddy?" I have been his patient since 2019, prior to Covid19 & masks. Now, even with the mask, I can tell that he is smiling underneath. Colorectal issues are quite private and having exceptional bedside manners is important. This is why I am so comfortable with Dr. Craig. Also, because of his methodical excellence. I have had two procedures completed with great success. He was not quick to resort to surgery or prescriptions, as he makes decisions very carefully with the patient's best interest and comfort in mind. But, when he does give recommendations, he is direct, but still in a friendly and concerned manner. I did get a second opinion on my last treatment. Dr. Craig was right again! I came right back to his practice. On my last procedure, I'm recovering quite quickly. Dr. Craig checked on me by phone the other day. That was nice!

Dr Brown has been my doc for years. He is the best. My recovery time when treated by him has been far less than with other surgeons. He listens and understands. He also makes sure you understand which is huge. I hardly ever give five stars but Dr Brown is a Rockstar!

From the beginning the entire staff was very friendly and quick to help. Dr. Brown has a fantastic and personal approach. His humor and direct communications style made the whole process a lot less stressful. The surgery team from intake/patient prep nurse to the anesthesiologists and recovery nurses were all amazing, professional, and supportive. Dr. Brown and his team were amazing for the entire process.

Met Dr. Brown during COVID, (late May) to schedule colon cancer surgery, he is/was very comforting and explained the entire procedure with out the medical mumbo jumbo, had surgery on June 4th, he followed up early evening the same day, gave me his personal cell number, and the next 2days in hospital he was there before the floor doctors were. Dr.Brown genuinely cares about his patients wellbeing. If you have to have colon surgery (I hope you don’t) this is the gentleman I would highly recommend.

Just WOW! Dr Brown was amazing from the word go. I had a bowel resection surgery with a fistula as well as disease all along my abdominal wall. Dr Brown did a amazing job with my surgery and I was feeling pretty good within about 10 days which is just remarkable. If me or anyone else I ever meet/know needs colon or rectal surgery I will definitely recommend Dr Brown to them. Dr Brown also is incredible at communication as he gave me and my wife his personal cell phone and responded to texts/calls usually within roughly 30 minutes. As a side note - I didn't have the Dr Strutt or Sellers but they both came to visit me in the hospital while Dr Brown was doing surgery at a different hospital and both were wonderful. Overall this group is the best medical care and communication I have ever had in my life. If they allowed a sixth star I would be giving it!!!

The staff was friendly and helpful. I was seen at the appointed time. Dr. Brown examined me, then clearly explained the options and patiently answered my questions. During the brief and painless intervention he explained what he was doing at every step. He has an easy and reassuring manner. After I went home, I realized the prolapsed hemorrhoid problem I had been struggling with for over a year had disappeared and it has not returned since. I highly recommend Dr. Craig Brown for treatment of your colorectal health problems.

I have had a chronic illness for 50 years. I have had countless procedures and surgeries over the years, working with multiple doctors. Dr. Brown is one of the BEST doctors--if not THE best--doctor I ever have had. Not only is he competent and knowledgeable in his specialty, his bedside manner is unsurpassed. He always explains everything clearly, providing options, if available. He also takes the initiative to coordinate with my other care providers as needed. Plus, I know he TRULY cares about me as a patient and a human being. He even has called me on the weekend to follow-up with and advise me. KUDOS, Dr. Brown!!!

I found Doc. Brown on the advice of a friend that had an unfortunate experience with a similar issue. (Different state) His advice was simple, find an expert and be sure. I was fortunate to connect with Dr. Craig Brown after researching local experts. I am forever grateful that I did. The process and experience from diagnosis to Surgery was easy. Apart from just wanting it over I could not be any happier with the doctor, the facilities, staff and treatment. Bedside manner can go a long way. Thanks from the Larsen Family.

I feel so fortunate to have been placed with Dr. Brown. I’d been dealing with an intestinal stricture for over 2 years. After seeing Dr. Brown for my first appointment, surgery to remove the stricture was performed 2 weeks later. From the initial consultation I was impressed with Dr. Brown. He had taken time, before the visit, to throughly read my medical records and completely understood the issue. Throughout the surgical process, Dr. Brown displayed care and concern. Even the day before surgery, he called to check in on me and answer questions as well as relieve concerns I had about the pending surgery. I never once felt my questions and/or concerns were trivial, nor insignificant. Following surgery, Dr. Brown was very attentive and showed great care. The surgery itself went very well and, as Dr. Brown indicated, pain was well managed. I highly recommend Dr. Brown to anyone who is seeking a colorectal surgeon. Dr. Brown, thank you for everything!

Dr. Brown provided all relevant information, took the initiative to connect with my oncologist, answered any and all questions I had, continued to contact me if I had questions or concerns post operation in a very timely manner, and most importantly, he cared about my anxiety and what was happening to me. I never felt like just another patient and that made the process so much easier to deal with.
