Loved him - understand he has retired 8/31/2018

Very rude. Not pleasant.

I will preface this review by stating that I am a physician myself. He saw my mom in the ICU for urinary retention and was very dismissive. With foley placed previously, he reported that she would NEVER be able to void given her "numerous brain metastases." When I reported that she had 5 extremely small metastases, he stated "the area where they are is very sensitive." Turns out, she had no mets in the "sensitive" area he indicated. He was pompous and showed no empathy. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I have found Dr Barkley to be kind and caring. I have been a patient for over five years. I have never thought him as arrogant. He has answered all of my questions and his staff at the Tampa Road location is efficient, caring and friendly.

He is the most arrogant person you will ever have the displeasure of meeting! Will not listen nor does he care. Office staff is rude at the Bardmoor office.

Was running an hour behind, when we finally got it to see him we got good news, no cancer, but he was obviously in a rush, wouldn't answer my questions. My boyfriend's prostate is huge, but he only shrugged when I asked him why that might be. Said it was 10% chance that they might have missed it, gave him an Rx to shrink it and he supposed to come back in 6 months. I just didn't have a good feeling about it.

Dr. Barkley MAY be an OK doctor, BUT his office staff (when you can get through to them, it took 14 and 17 minutes on hold the last two times I called) is rude, inefficient, don't listen at all (instead the answer a question you did NOT ask and refuse to answer the one you did ask. They are horrid examples of BAD representation for "caring" staff. Stay away unless you simply adore being jerked around and treated WITHOUT any respect. I'll go to a doctor who knows he needs GOOD staff around him!

He neglected to tell me about 2/12 samples that were GL (3+4). when I got home I called him. He NEVER returned multiple calls. Finally I called the office manager & she had him call me immediately. He then lied & said those were not on his copy...which is the one he handed me after gong thru risks assoc. with chemo/radiation/surgery. wanted to rush me into his specialty. He sent my biopsy samples to a lab that was NOT in my network; over $1200 in charges. Also sent me to 2 unnecessary scans.

gets sent to dr barkley after i get my first ultrasound. -He reads me my results and says its a severe case of testicular variceles phase 3 on the right and he just said small ones on the right side with a 85% chance of being infertile and a 15% shrinkage in my left testacle. was urged to do surgery asap while being given no alternatives. -surgery was scheduled for the 9th around 9a.m. i undress into my gown and distinctly remeber not having a cut on my penis and being able to lightly urinate

Self centered and explains nothing to you.

He is only interested in having tests and making money.

Arrogant and unfriendly

Short, pompous and intimidating. I felt scolded, like a child, when he was asking questions as to why I was there. Very rude.
