Always a PA never the doctor
Scheduled an appointment for my son (19YO) for a strange and sudden rash. Whisked into the back. PA said - no clue - recommended a urologist and sent us on our way. Rash remains - spoke to GP and urologist who both said go to dermatologist not urologist. Do not waste time or effort there - the doc certainly seems to be the wizard behind the curtain and having his oompa loompa PAs doing all the work.

Incompetent Staff and Practice
I was in this afternoon for my 2:30 PM appointment only to find out you do not take my insurance. I went over this with you on the phone. I was told you take my insurance. Not only did you waste my time filling out your forms, my time coming there, but most importantly my time to be seen by a dermatologist. I have been in pain for some time now with pimples or cysts. I might have an infection. Now I will have to find another dermatologist and wait for that appointment. This was unnecessary and incompetent by your staff. Needless to say, I will not give your practice a glowing review, and notify my friends to stay away!If I could charge you for wasting my time I would!

Terrible Experience
My daughter visited Connolly Dermatology on May 10 and saw PA Christopher Marsh. After a very brief conversation Marsh began preparing to use liquid nitrogen to remove the warts from my daughter’s hands. She stopped him before he began to ask him if it would hurt, his response was “yes” and then he began. As he continued to spray her fingers the pain intensified to the point where it was unbearable. After he finished the procedure he told her she would be healed in a week. She was in tremendous pain for the rest of the day. She described it as feeling like her hands were on fire. 10 days later my daughter’s fingers were still covered in massive, painful blood blisters. We saw her pediatrician who was appalled by the condition of her fingers. Her analysis was Marsh probably used too high of a setting for too long considering the procedure was being done on a child and on the hands. Her pediatrician drained the blisters and gave her a medicated cream to prevent infection.

An Exercise In Frustration
I saw PA Chris Marsh last Wednesday for hair loss. He had me take a blood test and urged that I call him the next day for his interpretation of the results. I've now called 3 times over the past week and he never gets back to me. I'm reporting him to my Merck dedicated team and would dissuade anyone from choosing him as you practitioner---it's an exercise in frustration.

I showed up for my appointment , only to be told he was out of the office and that they cancelled the appointment. The staff are so poorly trained that I was told they had tried calling me 6 days prior but never left a message, or even attempted to call me again, when they were aware they never actually spoke to me or left a message. I drove 45 minutes to my appointment. This was after another incident last year. I had appointment with Dr. Connolly booked months in advance only to be called the week before and told he would not be in that day. I was offered to reschedule 4 months later. That's insane when I'm not even the one cancelling. Such poor scheduling practices. If you are ok visiting with one of the dozens of Physician Assistants that cover the multitude of offices, you should be ok. If you want to actually keep Dr. Connolly as your provider , after establishing a decade long relationship, you'll be disappointed.

I received an appointment within 2 days of my initial call & at a very convenient time. Dr. Connollys staff were professional & friendly as was Dr. Connolly . He diagnosed my issue accurately & provided all the care I needed in the first visit. I certainly recommend Dr. Connolly & will seek his assistance in the future as may be needed.

I’ve never met Dr. Connolly. On my first and only other visit, 2 years ago, PA Sean was great. Things seem to have changed since then. Not at all impressed with new PA Chris. I was there because I had a case of poison ivy that wasn’t clearing up. He looked at my hand and told I had psoriasis! I’m no physician but even I knew it wasn’t psoriasis. When I challenged him, he said, “Let me take another look” and then pronounced, “Oh, change that diagnosis to poison ivy” !! In addition, he said he would order 2 refill prescriptions and a new one for the poison. Went to the pharmacy the next day, only 2 prescriptions had been ordered. I called the office, explained everything and was told, “I’ll look into it”. I waited 3 days with no call back. Had to call the office AGAIN. No one confessed to knowing anything about my situation. Took me 4 days to get everything straightened out. I’m glad they’re not my cardiologist!

4+ Years ago the doctors disgracefully under qualified skin team removed something on the back of my hand. (a bump) (non cancerous). This created a non healing wound that just recently was surgically treated by real doctors at Penn Hospital. The open wound did in fact eventually become a stage one skin cancer. This is just another case of a Dermatology Chop Shop. They wanted to do a full body inspection back then. That's a good idea, just not at this place.
