How a Condition Becomes Permanent
Saw Ms. Francis after diagnosed with Trochlear nerve palsy due to a car wreck. Spent nearly the entire session repeating the standard concussion tests that 2 neurologists, an optician, a neuropsychologist, and a family doctor already performed, again establishing cognitive difficulties. In her infinite wisdom, and complete lack of neuro-opth testing, Ms. Francis declared we never see nerve/central damage from such a minor wreck (the car was literally in thousands of pieces, of which Ms. Francis made no inquiry), so the problem must be a dementia where onset coincided with a car wreck. More, this is the first instance known to medical science where the patient's cognitive decline steadily improves after onset (i.e., the car wreck). 5 different doctors disagreed with her. Obviously, a referral to a neuro-opth at a different clinic was requested, but the clinic declined based on the pre-existing relationship with Ms. Francis. If my vision problem is correctable, too bad. No care.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Francis. I came to see her for an evaluation after a previous surgery didn't yield the expected results. I was pleased with the amount of time she takes in her examinations, making sure she has as much information as possible before making a decision.
