Great in every way!
I've seen her with my three children for 8 years now and she is excellent in every way. I trust her opinion on everything. I will never forget when she called me just to make sure I, the parent, was not flipping out about my newborn having to retake a blood test that came back positive for something awful. She told me there are many false negatives and not to worry until there is something to worry about. She does tell her own personal stories but if you are a person with patience you will understand that by her giving you a glimpse into her own life, she is connecting with your family on a personal level and showing her care and concern.

Doesn’t listen
Went to her for years and she wouldn’t take my concerns seriously about my son. She talks a mile a minute, compared everything to her own child, and kept telling me my son just had “quirks” and he’d grow out of them. He was holding his urine for 24 hours and barely eating. I went to a psychologist who diagnosed him with anxiety at 3 years old. We did OT without her referral since she didn’t think he needed it. At 8 we are still having toilet and eating issues but yes just “quirks”. If you want someone who doesn’t take your concerns seriously then she’s your doc.

Its been 3 yrs since I last saw her so I hope she's changed. My appointments w/ her were often humiliating & made me feel like i wasnt being listened to. Her congratulating patients on weight changes without even knowing the causes of said changes raised a red flag for me. She attributed many symptoms to my weight despite those symptoms having nothing to do with it (& neglected to care for them until MONTHS later). she also made a culturally insensitive comment & blamed it on me being underweigh

I had two visits with her in PHA Shelton office. If you would choose to go with her, you will be expecting waiting for an hour and listening to her for five minutes. She does not care about the parents' concerns and the kid.

I have seen Dr. Steeves for the last 10 years. She has always gone above and beyond to make sure we get the right diagnosis. One of my children, has Crohn's- this is typically a very long diagnosis. Not with Dr. Steeves, I gave her a list of symptoms she immediately suspected Crohn's and had us do a few tests. She was 100% correct and pointed us to the best pediatric G.I. available for this disease. This is just one of many times I have been blown away by her expertise.
