Didn't follow through accurately
I'll start by mentioning I love Dr. Jacobs bedside manner. But twice she did labs and followed up with messaging that all was good. NOT the case. I reviewed labs and many tests red flagged. Upon notifying her I was called to go in for appointment. The second time she sent me attachments to read and still not explaining my negative test results. I switched doctors after losing confidence in what she was telling me. Poor follow up.

I have been a patient of hers for several years. I'm in the nursing profession and usually know what questions to ask but my last visit was not a good one. I went in for a physical and after having her mention she forgot to do cancer screening for her last patient, she did a quick exam and sent me on my way. She didn't review any of my labs or discuss any cancer screening with me either. To make matters worse, her documentation was not accurate or even close to the exam done! Poor care!

I am a local college student and grew up in Mankato. I would recommend Dr. Jacob to any of my friends or family members. She really gets to know her patients and cares about their overall well being; physical, mental and emotional. She has helped me through the stress of being a college student and is always willing to communicate over the Mayo portal if I have questions. She always considers what is in the patients best interest and doesn't rush to order unnecessary tests.
