Based on positive reviews, I chose Dr. Mendieta for surgery. After paying a non-refundable $1000, I flew from New York to Miami. However, my appointment was messed up, and the front desk was unhelpful. Despite flying in for the appointment, I was told Dr. Mendieta couldn't see me that day. After some persistence, I got to meet him, but then learned about a mandatory blood transfusion, something I wasn't comfortable with.The unclear communication about the blood transfusion risked losing a significant payment if I decided not to proceed. Other Miami surgeons I consulted with didn't mention this requirement. I chose a different doctor. When I asked for a partial refund, Dr. Mendieta's office declined. I'm requesting a fair reimbursement for my deposit and expenses incurred due to this situation, questioning the transparency and fairness of their practices.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Mendieta and his staff. I unfortunately caught an infection weeks after my procedure but the doctor and staff were extremely attentive and dedicated to my healing journey and revision surgery process. Other doctors and offices do not even do this! I feel great and am super happy with my results.

I had surgery with Doctor Mendieta 15 months ago. The procedure was supposed to be relatively simple and ended up being the biggest nightmare of my life. First, be very aware that the doctor will NOT see you post operation until 6 months after the procedure. You will see the nurses only and if you realize there is a possible problem with the result of the surgery, you will have to wait 6 months to address it. Their excuse is that you must wait at least 6 months for the permanent result and according to the nurses, there is nothing that the doctor can do or tell you until then. One more thing that you should be fully aware of is that no matter the complexity of the procedure, you will be literally kicked out of the clinic as soon as you open your eyes after the procedure. You may not be conscious, you may not have used your bladder, you may be feeling like a truck went over you, but the nurses will not listen to you and will not have any empathy towards your situation. Dr. Mendieta has loss touch with his profession and it's performing the most atrocious surgeries now a days.

I unfortunately had a very horrible experience with the staff and Dr. Mendieta. My surgery date was 12/15/2021. I flew from Indianapolis to Miami for my pre-op appt on 12/14/2021. I showed up for my appt on time. The nurses took photos of me and asked that i wait to see Dr. Mendieta. Well I waited and waited and waited. 5 1/2 hours later, the staff couldn't give me a real answer why Dr. Mendieta couldn't see me. Can you image how I felt having "major surgery" in the morning. I didn't have ANY prescriptions needed or given a exact time I would have surgery. I unfortunately had a very horrible experience with the staff and Dr. Mendieta. My surgery date was 12/15/2021. This mom of 4 got her BBL from Dr. Mendieta 2 weeks ago and could not be happier with the choice. I am obviously still healing, but it's feeling and looking way better each day. It looked great to me 2 days in tbh! Dr. Mendieta knows how to make your body look natural and beautiful. He is a great surgeon.
