Plays god with patients lives. With his treatment
His aggressive approach is horrible. Last October 2023 his treatment to cure my amyloidosis meant immediate treatment, or in his words, be dead in 6 to 7 months. The only place it was found was in my fingers. No OTHER PARTS OF MY BODY WAS IT DETECTED. His treatments would’ve damaged my organs that weren’t affected by amyloidosis. If his treatments didn’t work his next plan was to send me to La. For a bone marrow transplant. He seems to think he is god.His patients should all get another opinion like I did.Today 11-20-24 after having a Nuclear medicine study whole body with Ct scan all my tests came back showing no other parts have been affected. His treatment would’ve destroyed my body.!!!Thanks to Dr. Cassie Schnoy at Sharp Memorial hospital for being a doctor and not playing god likeZimmerman. Just look at how he takes care of himself. Overweight without a doubt. The stress he gave me and my family is unconscionable. Get second opinions if he’s treating YOURespond

Very competent
He has been upfront with me about my Leukemia my treatment options and my life expectancy. He didn't sugar coat anything but he is compassionate. I think he is a really great doctor and I am glad he is my oncologist.

Dr. Zimmerman is an expert with family members of a dying patient. Clearly, he presents the case, potential outcome options, asks for family member input, and reassures that to the best of his knowledge and past experiences, he will provide the best care possible for his patients. He willingly aligns with other health care teams to provide optimum outcomes according to his patients/family's wishes. Extremely well-grounded in his expertise and very kind man.
