Dr. Colleen Kriss, DO

Patient, excellent at communicating, careful caregiver who doesn’t over-treat. Great with adults and kids.

I started seeing another doctor as Kriss Lied to Me too many times. I asked for a PSA test 4 years ago and she told me that medicare would not pay for it. I told her well then I would pay for it, but then she said my past readings were low that I didn't need the test. So past 4 years, I did not have all the blood tests I needed. My new doctor is appalled. Kriss is not open to new ideas, when a new journal report is suggested concerning diets like low carb, she does NOT like it as she wants to play doctor her way, not listen to patients suggestions. It's my health not hers and doctors are here to help guide, NOT DICTATE TO. Keto Salt Lake 2019 she does not like the term Keto. Well, the Rosedale Diet is Keto, the Low Carb Diet is Keto, the Carnivore Diet is Keto. But Kriss hated the term, "KETO". I felt she was biased against me as I also wanted to be included in in the decisions with my health.

I have never had a doctor quit on me before as doctor Colleen Kriss. If you want a doctor who dictates her way only, then you may get along with doctor Kriss. If you are the type of person who seeks the root of your problem instead of just taking another prescription to fix the problem, then DO NOT see Kriss. This doctor just will not listen what I wanted to do, after all, it’s my body, doctors are here to help guide me down a healthy path, not dictate to me. Check out Keto Salt Lake 2019. Kriss was not open to what I had to say. She only wanted to doctor the way she wanted or the way she was trained in med school. She is set in her ways. She cancelled my appointment instead of listening.

Dr. Kriss can pound sand! She is an arrogant person who doesn't listen to her patients, so my experience was not good. I asked for a simple addition to a blood test, and she refused instructing her staff that I must first meet with her to discuss what she ordered. This cost me an additional $300 for a second blood test to get what I needed done. The test was needed to see if I was tolerating a statin that had previously come dangerously near to damaging my liver. I was NOT happy.

Dr. Kriss is truly a wonderful doctor in so many ways. She is very caring, an excellent listener, very knowledgeable and even open to suggestions about acupuncture, vitamin and herbal supplements, alternative medicine, etc. which so many of us are exploring. I have recommended her to many people. I wish I had found her years before I did!

Terrible bedside manner. Very uncaring.

If you're looking for a good Doctor, one who is available, certainly in time of need, this is not the place to go, Dr. Kriss is a terrible family physician! Guaranteed you will be disappointed, she is not competent, nor does she value your opinion. If you care about your health and life, go elsewhere.

I cannot recommend Dr. Kriss more highly. Not only is she very thorough and answers all of my questions, but she does so warmly and in a manner anyone could understand. Dr. Kriss has seen me the same day when requesting an urgent appointment despite a full schedule for the week. She has even called me at 8:30 PM so I wouldn't have to wait until the next day for test results. She truly goes above and beyond.
