Uncaring and self-interested
Prior to modified double mastectomy for bilateral breast cancer surgery she presented as informative and knowledgeable. After surgery she became detached, rude and uncaring. I dealt with many post-surgical complications including debilitating nerve pain and seromas. She gaslit me, asserting that the pain was due to fibromyalgia (which I have zero history of). Worst of all, I am left with excess and unsightly breast tissue and was denied the aesthetic flat closure that was agreed upon. Will likely require further surgery to correct this. A traumatic experience all around.

Talks big but delivers small
Performed double mastectomies at OSU for cancer. Left residual tissue including a cyst previously confirmed. Have enough remaining tissue that a mammogram was performed to determine what the lump we were feeling was. I asked for an aesthetically flat closure and was told by her all her closures were aesthetically pleasing. Arrogant and lacking in skill.

Dr. Salm-Schmid is a wonderful doctor. She is very caring, nurturing and compassionate. She's my favorite doctor just the kind of doctor one needs in a crisis.
