Arrogant when I went to ask questions he would interrupt and not let me finish my question. When he walked into the room he had a student and didn’t even ask if it was ok if he joined. He talked to me briefly about my surgery very briefly! Walked out said I’ll be right back and then never came back in just sent the nurse back in even though I still had questions … so while we were setting up the appointment for surgery I asked the nurse if he could come back out because I still had questions and he wouldn’t even bother to step out of his office where I could hear him telling some story to the student he had with him… and still didn’t answer my question. If it wasn’t for the fact that I need the surgery done soon, I would be finding a different surgeon. After writing this review, my surgery was two days away ..this morning at 9 o’clock I received a phone call from his receptionist Informing me that he was terminating me as a patient due to my review. First off, I thought that maybe he w

Simply Terrible
If I could give him negative five stars I would. He has the worst bedside manner of any doctor that I have ever seen. Pushed a more invasive surgery than I needed, did not listen to my concerns, made assumptions about my medical needs without reviewing my history. Probably the rudest and most arrogant person that I have ever met. I completed my surgery with a great team and program and I am doing fantastic! He told me that the less invasive surgery wouldn’t help my diabetes control however the new doctor did not agree and surprise surprise my diabetes is in control and I am off multiple medications. I hope that he can read this and try to become a more empathetic and compassionate person and really listen to his patients.

Arrogant
I’m not a fan. He is very short and dismissive and exceedingly rude. He rushed me in and out of follow-up appointments. He talked to me as if I was stupid, both pre-Sx and post. He treated me like I was an inconvenience to him at every interaction; Especially at his janky office in Flint. Not necessarily blaming him but I had A LOT of post-Sx issues and he couldn’t have cared less. Saw it as “I did the cutting, everyone else can figure out what the issues are from here” NOT a fan. Despite what you probably think, you aren’t god, bubba.

Dr. Nebeker was rude and short with me and my family. Mother had emergent surgery with Dr. Nebeker and unfortunately didn't survive. Dr. Nebeker came out of the OR and said she was going to die and walked off without much explanation. His resident was nice enough to come by and talk more to us, but Dr. Nebeker spent no time with us and was dismissive. Transfered her to the ICU with her abdomen still open until she passed. Poor communication and smug.

Short and disrespectful. Did not engage with us. Mom came in for abdominal pain. He operated on her, didn't do anything during the surgery and sent her back to the ICU to die. Didn't come talk to us after the surgery. Had the nurse and his intern tell us about the prognosis.

When my 85yo father needed emergency surgery Dr Nebeker was the attending surgeon. The depth of his knowledge, professionalism & care of my father was impeccable. My father’s recovery was half the time that was expected and the at home follow up calls put a smile on my dads face.
