Doesn't listen or read his own notes
I saw Dr. Hendricks for an acute eye problem with two more follow-up visits over a span of four months. On neither follow-up did he remember anything about me or my problem, nor did he appear to have any notes about why I was there. He arrogantly told me what my symptoms were and didn't listen when I told him that his list was inaccurate (actually nowhere near as severe as he described). I don't think he misdiagnosed the problem, and the treatment he prescribed seems to be working, but it was a very unpleasant interaction every time as I tried to tell him that both what he was describing as what should have been my experience both with the acute problem and with my vision more generally were inaccurate and he kept talking as if he hadn't heard a word I had said.

Without Dr. Hendricks astute and confident decisions based on my history and what he saw going on with my eye, he actually saved my eye. I cannot recommend him highly enough. It is rare to find a physician with a soft touch who can make split second decisions when they're called for. I am eternally grateful he is my physician.
