Dr. Clayton Polowy, MD

I started seeing Dr. Polowy in 2010 after I was diagnosed with BC. I interviewed several other oncologists who brought me to tears and tried to scare me into unnecessary treatments before selecting Dr. Polowy. Dr. Polowy gave me the care and assuredness I needed along with data driven reports on my specific cancer type and worked with me every step of the way with a exceptional level of care for the past 14 years. I would never have wanted to make this journey without him. If you need an oncologist, HE IS THE BEST. He treated me as a important person not just another patient. He gave me the care you would expect a doctor to give his daughter, his sister, his mother, his wife. If you have to wait in the waiting room, its because he is treating the patients before you as you will want to be treated. I don't feel like I have to wait that often but even if I did, he is worth the wait and then some.

Had my 6-month check-up yesterday. I've been treating with Dr. Polowy for approximately 8 years. I respect and adore him. He is knowledgeable in his craft. But just as important (to me) is his calm demeanor, temperament and character, things that are sometimes missing in the medical world. I believe he truly cares about each of his patients. I never feel rushed and leave a better person than when I arrived. Thank you sir. My husband and I pray God will richly bless you for your work and the 'humanness' you exhibit that many other medical professionals do not.

If you go to this doctor, expect lengthy wait times. If you have a 9:00 am appointment, you may be seen sometime around 1 pm or later. Once in the exam room, don't be surprised if he is texting someone else on his phone while you are trying to speak with him about your cancer/cancer treatment. If you look in any way put out, expect to be lectured about how much worse off other people are than you. Also, once you have spoken with him, don't be surprised if you feel like your questions were half answered in the 15 minutes or less he spent with you after the multi-hour wait. Nothing you say will end up in your visit notes via CareSpace "patient has no new complaints" will show up--unless you had a husband with you to complain about something, and then it will probably end up in the notes. Calling the after-hours is so bad I don't even bother & speak with my insurance telemed offering instead. I can't wait to be shut of treatment & this practice!!!!

I don’t know why I had the luck to stumble onto dr. Polowy when I got diagnosed with breast cancer last year. But I am forever thankful it happened. Ok, you have to wait sometimes a little longer, but I rather have good care than being in and out fast. The staff is great, friendly, helpful, professional and make a bad situation as positive as possible. I always know now, what to be thankful for on thanksgiving. I thank God every day for Dr. Polowy!! He is the most attentive doctor I have ever had. He is compassionate and truly cares about each and every one of his patients. He spends as much time with you as you need. He explains everything in detail so that you know exactly what the next steps will be. He gave me the best treatment for my situation. He made me feel like I was his only patient and that he truly cares about what happens to me. He's sincere, professional and at the top of his game. He saved my life!!

Treated my husband for several years. He spends as much time with each patient as they need. Even after my husband passed, Dr Polowy kept in touch. He is absolutely wonderful

I had breast cancer 7 years ago and Dr Polowy treated me with such dedication and respect and was very kind. I would recommend him to anyone. He listens to every concern and explains everything thoroughly. There is a long wait sometimes but he is totally worth it! Best dr ever!

i really like dr. polowy. it has been 5 years since my masectomy and so far so good. he is an extremly likable guy. there are two things I have a problem with...first of all I made it clear I did not reconstruction; however after the operation I found that I had been left with a hunk of skin for the purpose of reconstruction...it's a bit unsightly when wearing certain clothing. I am not 21 anymore so I don't care about that stuff...I am 71. second..it seems that I spend the better part of my natural life in the waiting room....literally HOURS.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last month. I am so happy with Dr. Polowy! He has shown such genuine concern and has been so kind. It has made me feel so much better about everything and has calmed my fears. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer any questions I have. I highly recommend Dr. Polowy!!

Dr. Clayton Polowy calms you down and is very patient with your concerns in dealing with the word no one wants to hear CANCER.

My wife went to dr Polowy and he acted like he cared about her at first but when he saw that the treatment he had recommended was literally killing her he tells us in his office that if he were to choose to do chemo or not he would say not to you will live longer not doing the chemo but this was only mentioned after they had all but killed her they cut all contact off and devastated her the rest of the way I’m appalled at the way she was treated she is suffering worse they only care about money

Both my myself and my husband use Dr. “P”. He is a very knowledgeable doctor, researchers everything fully, and offers guidance and recommendations all while smiling a huge smile. He has been there every step of the way, caring, comforting and healing us both. We could not have beat cancer if it wasn’t for Dr. “P” and we are very grateful.

It has been a couple years over due but I was thinking about how much he did for my grandma and I can’t thank him enough. He is an incredible doctor with such a big amazing heart! It is rare to see a doctor that cares so much about his patients. He is what most doctors should be.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Polowy - I have been a patient for 5 years, and he is compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. He strives to provide you with all of the information needed to make the best decisions on your health.

Not easy to see Dr. Polowy. We were given a hard time with scheduling an appointment. Had to sit around for hours in his waiting room. He spoke with us for 10 minutes and left.

Very competent physician, if you ever get into to see the guy. Reminds of the Wizard of Oz, "I'll have to give the matter a little thought. Go away and come back tomorrow." Very rude staff.

The first visit went well. He is a friendly person. After that, it all went down hill. Sorry to say, my husband and I ultimately went elsewhere. The staff at the front office are not as friendly as he is. Unhappily an extremely long wait time.

When I walked into this man's office I was scared and confused and desperate to have my symptoms validated and understood. In the 15 months I have been under his care he has provided me with answers, hope, and health. Some days I would cry and get frustrated and others we would laugh, but he always took his time even if he ran behind because of it. Just know if he's not on time to see you it's because someone had 400 questions and he patiently answered them. And he will do the same for you. His

As a senior citizen, my experience with this doctor has been incredibly bad. He acted like he was more concerned with his next patient, not me. After waiting to see him for literally hours, this was the best he could do? These doctors are like going to a salon, I just went to another one. Good luck with this guy. You were warned.
