Waste of time and money
No sure why we went to CHOC just to be seen by this Dr. who doesn’t seem like she knows what she’s doing. She kept going back and forth with her concerns of the labs even though she contacted specialists that went against her recommendations like treating inflammation of the bladder with no infection with antibiotics. We were there for infantile spasm concerns and this doctor basically did nothing to test that concern and wanted us to stay overnight to see the neurologist the next morning even though we were already there for 7 hours. Why didn’t she just get a neurologist to look at my infant while we were there? Our baby is a newborn and was super stress and exhausted being there already and they wanted to monitor with no real reason instead of just ordering an EEG to see if there is anything wrong that might tell us why he is having frequent crunching episodes that would come on every 5-10 minutes while asleep.

Dr Claudia Gold was very professional in dealing with the diagnosis of my skin discoloration and pain. She managed to schedule my time correctly during a busy day. Her decision to include a specialist for physical confirmation of my condition and the referral to an outside intervention surgeon was appreciated. She gets my support and accolades.Bob W.January 2024

All I can really say and truthfully is: Run away from this person, "Dr"????? This woman Does Not have bedside manners, probably never learned this in All her training! She's extremely rude and does not Listen to patient's that she sees in ER at St. Joseph's. She has zero compassion and zero caring approach when she addresses patient's in ER. Trust me people, trust me that this so called ER "Dr" person is not Good! Better to deal with your emergency elsewhere or refused to be seen by her!

I see alot of negative here, but that was not my experience. I took my 3 year old to CHOC because she had fever and back pain. I had been told by her regular pediatrician that she just had the flu. But I know my daughter, and she was in pain. Dr Gold listened to us. Even though her lungs sounded clear, she wanted to be safe and ordered a chest x-ray. My daughter had pneumonia. She may not have the perfect bed side manner, but I thought she was professional, respectful, and she helped my baby.

Very poor experience with Dr Gold in CHOC ER. She was dismissive and questioned why I brought my child in. She did absolutely nothing for my child. Multiple times she told me that my mother raised me so she could raise my daughter.

She's extremely rude and dismissive of patients health concerns has absolutely no bed side manner and should really consider a change in profession; you know one where she doesn't have to deal with people!

Extremely rude and condescending. Would not let me get a word out. Would not answer my questions and instead acted annoyed. I am very sick with serious health issues but she treated me as if I were just some nuisance.

Unprofessional. Did not listen to patient explanation on symptoms nor showed any concern. Doctor did not physically check patient and was not present more that half the time patient was in the room. When the patient asked question the doctor walked away and rushed the patient to get discharged.

Knowing that I have hearing problems, Dr.Gold still gave me attitude when she had to repeat herself for me. Cut me off. Didnt answer my questions. Showed no concerns. Lied to me that there was no IV medicines for lasix or torsemide and that there was only pills. Raised her voice and walked away from me while I was still talking. Assumed I'm doing ok when clearly I wasnt. I've always loved St Joseph, but this was the worst experienced ever. I have high blood pressure, and she made me cry.
