I so look forward to my appointments !
What a terrific experience I always have seeing Dr. Lajam and her team. Such a lovely personality and always a thorough examine with detailed explanations. I am absolutely aghast at the nasty reviews, it certainly seems like an evil campaign. Don’t believe it! Can’t wait for my total knee replacement in a month with this lovely and compassionate doctor.

Passive aggressive, dismissive
Dr. Lajam is, as other reviewers point out, pushy, passive aggressive, and dismissive. She repeatedly referred to herself as a 'carpenter' who just takes people apart and puts them back together, completely ignoring how clearly upsetting this characterization was to me. I have begun to have back issues that are likely related to arthritis in my hip, and have arthritis in the knee on the same side, but am not in a rush for another surgery and wanted to discuss the implications of waiting. She had zero patience with talking through my concerns about another hip replacement (I've had the other replaced) or discussing how a hip replacement might interface with the knee and the hip issues; she seemed very annoyed that I wasn't coming in simply to schedule an appointment for surgery. She doesn't have an interest in thinking holistically about a patient.

The office was pleasant and comfortable. The reception staff was professional. I was greeted by Dr. Lajam’s in an artificially polite manner. My primary concern was about on-going pain, clicking sound in my hip, burning sensation, and leg length differences. She reviewed the films and informed me that she agreed with the procedure done by my surgeon. She blamed the disk issue in my back for my gait issues and on-going hip discomfort. I attempted to explain between being cut off and interrupted that the disk issue was several years old and had not presented a problem until two weeks prior to my visit. The gait issue has been present since the 9/2022 surgery. Her focus was the disk issue and not my presenting problem. My chief concern was not addressed. Sadly, my experience was characteristic of the response and care that I typically receive as a Black man. There were also inaccuracies in her documentation. Black patients beware.

Loved Dr. Lajam and staff.
I just had my x-rays and initial visit with Dr. Lajam. The entire 3-4 hour visit was EXCELLENT. I interacted with many staff members, the X-ray tech and Dr. Lajam. I fell so comfortable after today's experience. I can't wait to get my hip replacement which will be happening soon.

Has issues
I would avoid this Dr. She adopts passive-aggressive behaviors with her patients. Pushy and full of herself, opinionated and intolerant and dismissive of other ethnic minorities. Do yourself a favor keep looking for another Orthopedic Dr. There are much better out there.

Team LaJam n Knee Replacement Surgery
Love her. I was a smoker when I first came 2,her as a patient. My hip n my knees were in really bad shape. BC my hip was,so bad, I could barely walk so with my permission n after explaining all the risks we did the hip surgery. It went super well. I went home from hospital the next day n I've never looked bk. Now the knees were a,different story bc of my weight n the continued smoking. Dr. Lajam agonized over whether 2 proceed with knee Replacement Surgery while I was still a,smoker. Her final decision was no. I'm not doing bc of the smoking n the chance that I could get an infection which would mean possible amputation of my leg. I was ? broken n that was, nearly 5/6 years ago. I'm happy 2,report that I am now nearly 17 months smoke free n my Knee Replacement Surgery is scheduled 4 July 27. Thank u Dr. Lajam 4 ur honesty n caring about me as a patient n as a person n not caring about me only 2 get paid. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TEAM LAJAM!

Excellent
The whole visit was done in a timely fashion. First xrays and then Dr. Lajam. All the xray technicians were friendly and Dr. Lajam was on time, friendly and thorough. After reviewing the xrays with me, she gave me a physical exam and was able to pin point and diagnose my pain. Surgery isn't needed and she discussed exercises.

I was very impressed with Dr. Lajam! She gave my knee a very thorough examination and she took her time to explain her findings to me. She then surprised me by NOT recommending surgery because in her opinion, "I'm not sure that surgery will solve your problem." She then referred me to another physician who she felt has more experience with my kind of injury. I highly recommend Dr. Lajam!

Dr Lajam is a wonderful surgeon. I had a total knee replacement and it was really effortless after a few days. The surgery went well as did the post care. Dr Lajam is up-to-date on the latest research and procedures, using state of the art equipment. I would not hesitate to recommend her to others without reservations.

Rushes appointments, if you even get seen by her. Forget about post-operation after care; she really doesn't want to see you after the surgery. Seems like she only wants to get you on the operating table, and then you're history. Somewhat nice before surgery / rude and condescending after. Thank God she only worked on one knee! And didn't get my knee-cap in the right position, according to another surgeon. It's caused me a lot of undue pain and a very, very long recovery time. Never again!

The worst unstable human, let alone a doctor. Claudette Lajam is unkind and is the most rude unsupportive orthopedic surgeon, that doesn't care about the severity of the pain, or what her patients feel, or think. She doesn't even have 15 years of experience, but Claudette Lajam claims about having almost 50 years of experience in real life and brags about it on the internet, which is a real lie. All the fabricated false information about her is so wrong. All patients do avoid her like the plaque

Dr. Claudette Lajam, MD provided me with a hip replacement. My pain level before the operation was a ten. Now I have no pain in that hip. The scar is fading. I am looking forward to having my other hip done. The X-Rays of the replaced hip show careful and meticulous work. This wonderful doctor treats and cares for the patient as a whole. She had saved my life by insisting I get my lung cancer removed immediately and not wait for immunotherapy.
